-2 Cor 8:12 states that the readiness has to first be present before the giving. If sums are being levied according to capacity, does dis not fault the above scripture?

Well, I'm sure this op wrote this thread was well intended, but not every thing written here is correct. I'm a member since childhood and now in my 30s.

1. On the issue of Television... The principal goal of the church is for its members to make heaven. For every serious minded believer, in times past, the TV was a huge source of tempting pictures. But with the advent of phones and internet, sources are multiplied. There was no point hammering on TV alone. But Pastor Kumuyi's position remains abstain from all appearance of evil.

2. On the issue of age to become a full time pastor, I think you got that wrongly. Right now, its Deeper life Church policy now that to be a full time worker you must not be more than 45 years of age. But this is not strictly followed for full time pastors now as any can be called (as led by the spirit) to be a full time pastor in as much as he has the capacity and passes the interview process. Recently, I know of a lecturer who was made a Region Overseer.

3. On the issue of laying of hands, it is believed that there are no barriers in the spirit realm. It is not compulsory to lay hands before miracles take place especially when the crowd is large.. But if is one on one counseling and prayer session, laying of hands can be done if necessary

Most times, pastors can have a tough stance on dressing, but I guess they are being over strict.

If you can't keep up with the requirements, you can equally marry outside the church and come back after marriage. No one is caged per say.

There is not such thing as "correct doctrine". Deeper Life still maintain the doctrine it started with. What is being relaxed is the man made law which was introduced to ensure discipline but some have turned to power show. As for doctrine?? It is still 22 Bible doctrine

Districts are the smallest unit of Churches in Deeper Life.

When a Church Project is needed to be carried out, the money is divided to states (according to state capability). It helps to make everyone contribute, since we don't require external donations.

From the state, it is distributed to Group levels, then to districts. The Pastor will ask people to give willingly what they can afford.

The amount gotten is sent back to the state level, then to the headquarters (if the project is to happen at the Headquarters)

Deeper Life says live a life that will qualify you for Heaven... It's as simple as that. If you are looking for a reference on how to live that life, look to the Bible.

I understand dear. It doesn't mean that doing the above might send you to hell (I can't say, as I am not God).

But since it is a Church tradition, you can either obey or reject. You can marry outside the church and still come back to worship.

No discrimination. Every Church has their own doctrine. Even Apostle Paul said the same.

On the issue of age, I don't think the op is correct. There is this pastor Enoh(?) that is going around deeper churches praying and conducting deliverance service. I think he is a full time pastor and his is less than 40
