The presidential system as we know it has not worked for Nigeria. We are a people more in need of the checks and balances and easier accountability of the parliamentary system. With the parliamentary system, political power is checked and representatives have more interactions with their constituents. Parliamentary system is the best example of democracy at work. It is electorate and constituency first. "We The People" is the focus, that is the true goal/aim of democracy.

That said, should Nigeria return to a parliamentary system?
