I don't know if this is the section to post this. But if it's not, kindly move it to the right sections mods.

Fahad Ibrahim my former student sent some messages to my inbox day before yesterday about him under detention on the orders of the IGP son. The first thing I did was to ask him how he got access to a phone while under detention. He told me one of the officers on duty helped him with a phone. I asked him to get in touch with his parents and Media Trust, his place of primary assignment, he is a youth corp member.

Since then, I have not heard anything from him again. My fear is that I am taking his narrative with a pint of salt. However, my mind is being tormented by the mere possibility of our police detaining a young man on the orders of another young man because of juvenile fantasies of girl friend, boy friend issues.

I woke up to see my colleague Kabiru Danladi Lawanti and other Facebook friends posting that Fahad is still in detention for three days now. How true can this be? Please, the Abuja guys like Abdullahi O Haruna Haruspice and many others should check and see what can be done to secure the young man's freedom.

Fahad Ibrahim has just been released as confirmed to me by his lecturer.

Glad the movement gained tractions.

But the release is not enough. Those that helped in perpetuating this should be investigated too.

Abuse of power at the highest order.

Seeing this comment is totally disgusting. By what standard does the Ex-IGP son pass the Fahad?

The fact that a youth is threatened and detained by his fellow youth because his father is privileged. Imagine if he didn't know people who successfully helped him secure his release, can you imagine the unnecessary torture he would have been subjected to.

I indulge you to use your humane heart to be critical about this and imagine yourself in his shoes. You can be a victim of this tomorrow.

This shouldn't end here, the Ex-IGP son must be investigated and let Nigerians know the true facts.
