I wonder when the huge gap between the rich and the poor will be bridged. I scorn being a nigerian and detest every thought of it.

Its is not statutory in anyway but just organised corruption, on what Basis do you pay an ex coup plotter retirement benefits when his role was illegal all the time as our constitution doesnt have space for coupist mor does it ever recognize them

Your view might be right... however this is the norm in Nigeria and part of the institutional corruption we should stand against.

it is a pity and painful. no igbo man on this super league; even the african champions league of the vice president, no igbo man is found in. the only igbo man that was a member of these league just died recently. no wonder wailing continues.

It is wrong for military rulers who came through the barrel of the gun to benefit from past president benefits, it is like encouraging criminality,

I don't have any problem with past democratically elected leaders getting benefits

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN OUR COUNTRY. DONT THEY HAVE CARS BEFORE OR MONEY TO BUY CARS?

We have a military constitution. Put in place by Abubakar. But NASS found that it benefits them too. So they left the money bits untouched. A very flawed Constitution that guarantees ex-leaders/VPs even medical treatment abroad, new cars every few years, a funded office and staff, housing, etc. Some of the perks extend to their families too. grin cheesy

All that in a country of N18,000 minimum wage that is not even regular and some pensioners collect N5,000 a month. shocked shocked shocked

Lol, the way they call all these monies...

If you collect 100k monthly as a graduate...How many years would it take to get to 40million? LoL.

9ja think!
How many graduates even collects N100k in a month in Nigeria

Graduates are collecting N20k, N30k if you are lucky in this Buhari era N50k

base the calculations on what FG is paying N-Power abeg!

Why publishing this? Was the president not collecting all these allowances during bother regimes? Just trying to play cheap political gains. Its not necessary. What of N3b allocated to Asorock hospital yet without paracetamol in their shelves and the president going abroad to treat his ear problem? What of the grass cutting contract saga with former SGF, what of maina gate? And many others involving this government. What feedback do we have as regards these frauds? Have they being swept under the carpet by the presidency? God help Nigeria.

At such times I wonder what the God of justice is up to. Civil servants that worked for 35 years are denied of their entitlements while majorly people who stole the people's mandate and usurped state powers for less than 10 years are attended to like 2 week old babies. Like my people will say: God are you there? Are you alive?
