There are two people, not one, not three, but just two people who have the key to Nigeria's success and Prosperity. The two men are called Igbo man and a Yoruba man.

When the Igbos and the Yorubas unite, not if, but when, because it will happen. When the Igbo man and a Yoruba see themselves as a people, one people from common Ancestry, then their common enemy will reveal himself.

Their common enemy does not want to see these two brothers unite, because when they unite, the chop chop is over.

The Igbo man and the Yoruba man must unite or be consumed by their common enemy.

I have lived among these wonderful tribes, the Igbos and the Yorubas and I can say that no one holy pass, we must begin to love each other not inspite of our motherfuccking differences, but because of these differences.

You're correct, if not very correct.

In my estate, the Igbo and Yoruba live in harmony. There has never been any quarrel since I moved into the place.

You can't imagine how the festivities went, so much fun when people live in peace. Even during the Islamic festive periods, we got ourselves two rams and everything went smoothly.
If I had enough cash, I would buy a house in this place. So peaceful and the colonels living here are so down to earth.

When the Igbo man and the Yoruba man see themselves as one and work together to make things work, things will become soft for Nigeria.

Their common enemy? We all know those ones see themselves as Arabians, lol

If you read the article you will see the reason. He was born and brought up in Ilesa, so technical he is a Yoruba man by birth.
Dollyak:
What's the reasoning behind this? An igbo man can never be as passionate about Yoruba's affairs like a Yoruba would. This is more like a PR exercise.

Call me Afonja! I am ok. Call me Yoruba it is ok. But I can say it over and over again that I am the most detribalized and liberal ethnic group in Africa. I am set apart! I believe in education, fairness and progress! One day, I will elect an Igbo man the governor of Lagos! Biafrans may take it as weakness, but that is my strength! I am proud to be Oduduwa!

Dear People,

It would make a whole lot of sense if we shove tribalism aside and stay true to who we are angry
In Nigeria the well known tribal landlords are the igbos and hausas init.

Yoruba eye service too much lol- the desire to look nice and accommodating before others is their ultimate archilles heel as an ethnic group.

Elect an Ijebu man who grew up in ilesha to head that same Ijesha post now, and see the whole building go up in flames... lol

Haha typical Igbos, it is only when they are in a favorable position that they will remember how Nigeria is sweet and how “Tribalism is bad”

Every other day, 98% of them are really half biafrans at heart with no real patriotic allegience to the Nigerian state nor what it stands for
This was the same scenario that was playing out under the Jonathan presidency that favored Igbos when all of them kept MUTE but have all suddenly become overnight Biafrans under a northern presidency.

These are also the same people currently championing the course of a group called “ NON YORUBA Indigenes of the South-WEST” an organization whose ultimate goal is to challenge the indiginous rights of Yoruba people in their own ancestral region. Yet they come here to preach peace after holding all their “abele” anti yoruba meetings.
Hypocrites!

Laughing in higher powers .. I pity the generality of Yoruba people.

@ the bolded

every Igbo persons are actually 101% Biafra at heart , point at one Igbo man saying one Nigeria and I'll show you his political position or his business investment in other regions

Nigeria as a country is not where a sane mind should be proud of,

the only people holding Nigeria together as of today are Yoruba's, the north believes they are doing you a favour by allowing other tribes to head the government

the moment Niger Delta oil becomes valueless the north will not hesitate to remind the south that the can't cohabitate with infidels

Nigeria would have been such a lovely and progressive society without tribalism. Who did this to us?

I strongly believe that the yorubas, Igbos and Niger deltans and even the middlebelters can easily put their differences aside and unite. The only problem we have are the Hausa fulani people! These people would rather prefer to unite with Arabs, Sudanese and Somalians than their fellow Nigerians.

This was exactly what Late Gideon Orkar saw and made him to attempt a coup that will cut off Hausa fulani people from Nigeria and merge them with Niger republic. Nigeria would have been far better of without Hausa Fulani people.

I am humbled and impressed.
Kudos to the Ijesa community.
People from the South South should take a cue, more so the East.
SicilianMafia I notice your agitation especially about tribes in old Bendel.
Do you know most people from those places interview married
I don't know about recent times
But why I always stayed away from tribalism and pray to Jesus to save me from tribalism
Is because my 4 grandparents are from different tribes and even regions.
I don't think my parents planned to also marry away from their tribes but they did
Almost 44 years after they still live and love together cheesy
SicilianMafia many Urhobos marry Itsekiris and Many Ijaws marry Isokos and many Esans marry Binis and many Afemais marry Ora

I experienced terrible tribalism while in the West and my prayer point against tribalism doubled.
But like this picture below says,
I am learning that you cannot conquer evil with evil
North can you conquer tribalism by being tribal
I have lived in the North Sokoto, south Benin, east Onitsha, west Ekiti and central Ilorin&Abj
And tribalism holds sway all around Nigeria.

What's now the difference between us in Nigerians and foreigners who are racist towards us?
The Canadians will eat up those Nigerians if they are not united irrespective of tribe.

So SicilianMafia join me to preach & spread love & unity among the mid-week, south and North-central so
We can fight our common enemies- poverty, bad governance, laziness, envy, untapped resources & crime
Instead of proving who owns what land, or migrated from where or is fiercer or richer or more educated or more in government.

God bless Ilesa, Ijesa people, the entire Nigeria and Nigerians in diaspora

That is what Ibos are known for... forever complaining... They will not appoint a Yoruba, Hausa or any other tribe if they are the ones responsible for electing someone... Now, If a yoruba or hausa elects an Ibo man, they will say he is very brilliant, if not him no one else can do it, everyone else is stupid but him, and some will say, they are using him and others will call him a sellout or okoroawusa or okoroyoruba.....

That is why we have to do away with the archaic paternal indigene clause in our constitution. The lady is clearly an Igbo woman. Just because her birth father is Yoruba and she bears Bumi is not enough to make her a Yoruba woman officially.

I disagree... Nigeria is not U.S.A or Canada
where immigrants can just settle anywhere.
Even in America, EU and the U.K, there are
concerns by the earliest settlers or indigenous
whites about the influx of foreigners into
their countries! This has led to militant groups
who are opposed to immigration springing up in those Western countries!

Doing so would cause major demographic
disasters because people from relatively
poor areas of Nigeria and even Sudan, Niger, Mali,
Chad, Somalia citizens, etc, would just flood into Jos,
Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu city, Lagos, Ibadan
and ethnic wars over land ownership will start!

Everybody should develop their areas
and hold their local politicians accountable!
Period...

Don't pity Yoruba as a whole. Don't even pity Ijesha as a whole but these set of Ijeshas in Canada that has turned retrogressive attitude in the past to modern civilization. A disgraceful action. If it were to a social club that involves different tribes or ethnicity, it would have made sense but alas these people have come again with unrealistic fraternization. So pathetic.

Right from the days of Zik the Igbos has wanted to control Southwest politically and I think it's just a matter of time before they achieve that.
