Hi Friend,

I will be taking about Power of Attorney in relation to Real Estate.

An Attorney is an individual who is given the responsibility to act on behalf of another person (can be buyer or seller of land or landlord).

The person (landlord or seller) giving the authority is known as the Donor.

A power of attorney is a document. You can type it.

It has to be signed by the seller or landlord and the Estate Agent.

It proves that, the Agent has d power to market d property. But, there are exceptions to this rule.

For instance, a relative may decide not to give an agent, a power of attorney.

There are several individuals who CANNOT give a Power of Attorney to an Estate Agent.

They include:

A) Minors or children (people under 18years)

B) Someone who have mental health I.e mad people

C) People who do not have a sound mind I.e they cannot think for themselves anymore. They may be senior citizens or d elderly who have dementia disease.

@adornhomes kindly ignore the Professor from Oko-Oba & continue with your good work, it is highly appreciated. Some people don't know the difference it makes when you learn from first principles
