I believe (special thanks to the previous poster), that these may be the complete set of lyrics for Omolewa School, Ibadan:

I bow to Omolewa School
My own alma mata
The foundation you give me
I will not forget
smiley
The good education
You give to me daily
Will always be remembered
I will never fail
smiley
My dear brothers and sisters
With your good cooperation
The great strength that you give me
I will never fail
smiley
To promote the good name
Of Omolewa School
The school to be proud of
I will not forget
smiley grin

Cant Belive no one has posted for FGGC Owerri

FGGC OWERRI

The Guns of battle where all silent
The smoke of Destruction blown away,
The lips of war were sealed and the scaring almost healed
When our School was born to hearld a new day!

Nigeria we all make thee a promise
To serve thee with strenght and might and brave
To build and not break down, Bury quarrels in the ground
So that those who died may not have gone in vain

Tribute to my Alma mater, LOYOLA COLLEGE IBADAN (LCI)
Truly, no other anthem will ever be so touching. Herein lies a great, common source of motivation for LOYOLANS:

Our College Anthem:

Chorus: Loyola, Loyola, the best in every way
Loyola, Loyola, we always win the day.

1. We are students from a College that is seen in Ibadan town
We have made a promise not to let that College down
We stand for truth and knowledge and we stand for wisdom too
We all strive for perfection here in everything we do

Chorus: Loyola, Loyola,

2. All here from Loyola, we come with zeal and zest
And when we work or when we play, we always do our best
We're faithful to one God alone, who rules us from above
We're faithful to our fatherland, and to the School we love

Chorus: Loyola, Loyola,

3. Loyola we cannot forget the years we spent with you
We hope that ever you'll be strong, that ever you'll be true
We walk through life undaunted and when life's long journey's o'er
Loyola boys will meet and be united evermore

Chorus: Loyola, Loyola, the best in every way
Loyola, Loyola, we always win the day. smiley

In d midst of the instrumentals, the motivating words, the voice of ecstatic Loyolans (Sikira t'oko de, etc). The song fills you with absolute belief that you can achieve anything, and truly so, my head 'swells like garri' any time we sing the College anthem.

Up Loyo!!!!!!

I attended Subuola Memorial Nursery & Primary School, Ibadan.
Enjoy our School Anthem.

1. Subuola, our second cradle, with hearts full of joy we sing
Subuola, the school for future leaders, that teaches justice with truth and learning
We praise the minds and hands that laboured
To make our school the finest in the world
Where we learn with care, with loving care
Our duty's to God, Country and man

2. Subuola, that keeps the duty guide: Work hard, play hard, keep straight
Subuola, instils no sense of danger, no mountain can give us cause to fear
We thank Subuola for teaching us to make our motto service to God and man
As we fly to the heights, the highest heights
Set by Subuola Primary and Nursery Schooooooooooool

Long live Subuola Memorial Nursery and Primary School, Agodi G.R.A., Ibadan!!!

nas 00,

That makes the 2 of us.

I was in Subuola from 1980 - 1988 and in Loyola from 1989 - 1994.

Two very great schools in Ibadan, Nigeria.

May God continue to bless the schools.

Re: Your School Anthem by same4naira: 11:50am On Feb 11, 2010
I like this cos it takes one back to old time and also to make one to remember some old good days.
As for the primary School, I don't think we have one. It was in the days when School Anthem was not given credence I suppose.

Secondary Anthem
The Lamp
A lamp that is set on Hill:
Immanuel College High School.
How proud it is to be, a product of my school.
I shall up hold thy flag,
Immanuel College High School, Immanuel College High School,
Wherever I may go
Up! Up! We go, and never down
Up! Up! We grow, in God we grow
Immanuel College High School Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!
Ever forward I may.

University Anthem

The Fount
1.   Unibadan, fountainhead
Of true learning, deep and sound
Soothing spring for all who thirst
     Bounds of knowledge to advance
Pledged to serve our cherished goals:
     Self-reliance, unity
That our nation may with pride
Help to build a world that is truly free.

2.   Unibadan, first and best,
Raise true minds for a noble cause:
     Social justice, equal chances
     Greatness won with honest toil
Guide our people this to know:
     Wisdom's best to service turned
Help enshrine the right to learn
For a mind that knows is a mind that's free.

It's really interesting to discover that such has not been posted here yet. Is it true?
Re: Your School Anthem by same4naira: 12:04pm On Feb 11, 2010
What a coincidence! At first when I saw the abbreviation I.C.H.S., I thought it was my School, but when I looked critically at the Anthem I found out that it wasn't. So Immanuel College High School has the same abbreviation with Ikenne Community High School.
That makes this topic more interesting and educative.

UNILORIN Better By Far.
(THE ALMA MATER)
In love, peace and harmony,
We shall build the tower
unilorin,
hear the clarion call,
In unity we grow,
committed to the seat of learning,
our hearts from vanities,
standing firm in wisdom, in knowledge and in truth,
We honour your virtues,
Unilorn you stand in strength and pride,
Learning, winning, building, praying
Showing the way for all who yearn,
Making a future for the ones who follow
Rising High we must never turn,
Ilorin, Unilorin, Your touch has guided us,
Upwards and inwards,
Ilorin, Unilorin our Alma mater
We sing!

I don't know my university anthem (trust me, you wouldn't either. It's very long and uber-boring). But my secondary school anthem goes thus:
_
University of Nigeria Secondary School, Enugu Campus,
My alma mater
We extol thee now in glory,
You are great in science and in art
Our motto,
Industry;
Our motto,
Excellence;
Above all,
Discipline;
We are proud of our alma mater.

Saint Joseph's College, Ondo . Est 1956 (S.J.C) To all nobles here...this goes to you.
With tender heart we come to thee,
Dear guide and friends saint joseph,
With heart heart voices joyously,
Our words of praise we sing,
Saint Joseph!
Saint Joseph dear when the life is dark,
When waves of wind and sorrow shared
Sorrow shared!
Guide our frailed and tremblings back,
Save to the port beyond the sky.
S.J.C; Nobilitas!
