A very philosophical and thought provoking question, and it may take the entire lifetime to find the answer.But it is not worthwhile to move forward and discover our possibilities,which as a matter of fact are unlimited? yes, unlimited.

ALL other form of creature have limitations except the human form .A plant will stay as a plant,flowers will blossom and die out and another will blossom again. a dog is born as a dog and die as a dog.in between birth and death. it possibilities are largely limited to being faithful to its master. the spider has been making the same kind of webs his predecessors made.the birds have been making the same next for millions of years. Meanwhile we humans have progressed from those primitive days of haunting with a club and eating raw meat to these modern civilized days of aircraft, computers, restaurant etc....

it is not a small achievement to set foot on the moon , to discover another planet different from us,and we are making breakthrough into the unknown. day by day.......

so what is our purpose on earth ? all advances and discoveries reflect the materialistic aspect of our purpose, and we have achieved tremendous material success.but it is only one side of the coin ...our entire nature moves according to the law of opposite. after days comes night , and heat after cold and death after birth .imagine if this law of opposite began to malfunction ? NO night after day, no heat after cold,and no death after birth .could we survive in such a scenario?the best bet we will not. then how do you think we could survive without the opposite part of the materialistic purpose , without the spiritualist aspect of the two fold journey of life on planet earth?

Thanks. God is the Answer. He created higher Animals with Consciences to know Good and Bad and to serve His Pleasures here on Earth. And after, we return to Him wherever, whenever and however He chooses.

Whenever this question pops up, the regular answer that's supplied pushes people to a wandering path....and they get lost the more.

Our purpose can not be defined outside our abilities, and when these abilities are super-imposed by divinity, we optimize our abilities. Therefore, our purpose like Solomon concluded is to love and fear God, and then optimize our abilities as we put them into effective use, bless and transform our world, impact people with our gifts, become our very best, use our selves to the best of our capacity ( not acquiring the best ) and keep the focus on God.
