The FIFA World Cup Trophy tour will come to Nigeria March 7 and 8 and it will be in Abuja, the trophy will visit 91 cities across 51 countries and six continents.

It was flagged off by former World Cup winners Sir Geoff Hurst and Andrea Pirlo on Monday in a ceremony held in London.

"Following the success of the first phase of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour, which gave more than 220,000 people across Russia the chance to see the FIFA World Cup Trophy with their own eyes.

We are very excited to now offer this unforgettable opportunity to football fans around the world,” FIFA's Chief Commercial Officer Philippe Le Floc’h said to FIFA.

Before the tour began the trophy had toured the host country Russia for three months, visiting cities spanning over 16,000 kilometers.
