At least you had smells from saw mills, I actually lived in Mile12 for a time, with a relative ,and HATED the smell of rotten Oranges, with a tint of stinking animal flesh, that we got sometimes either from the market or from the ketu dump. I was so glad when I left for my dear Ikorodu. I thought we had it bad at one time but no no no! The way that smell dey take slap person ehn! kai!!

While driving through some of the streets here during the summer, you perceive smells as potent from time to time -- the city gutters stink when it gets hot, and they have not been cleaned or flushed by the rains . Takes me back to those days . . . I won't say they were good but I know that smell anywhere.
