Please how do I locate the engine number of Ford edge 2007

It does not have an engine number.For vehicle registration purposes, use chassis number in place of engine number.

How would the police find it? same thing I did with my own car in 9ja, the tried a fast o ne and I asked them to go and look for it, mainwhile the Engine was HOT, can fry egg with it lol he jst kissed his teeth and wave me bye
