MUSLIM WOMAN RECEIVES DEATH THREATS FROM MALE MUSLIMS ACROSS THE WORLD AFTER LEADING PRAYERS IN INDIA.
A Muslim woman BY NAME Jamida Beevi in the southern Indian state of Kerala has received death threats afterleading prayers for a mixed congregation in an act of defiance against established Islamic practice.

She says “The Qur’an says all human beings are equal and anyone can lead prayers. The Qur’an is the basis of Islam, not the hadith, which were created by men after the prophet’s death. For 1,400 years, men have decided things, only men have made decisions. It is time for all that to change now,”

Jamida Beevi said she believed the Qur’an contains no injunction that says only men can lead prayers. She belongs to a small sect called the Qur’an Sunnat Society; it believes only in the Qur’an, not in the hadith – the statements made by the prophet on a variety of subjects and written down by his followers after his death. Most orthodox Muslims believe in both the Qur’an and the hadith.

She led the prayers not in a mosque, but in the office of the Qur’an Sunnat Society, where she works full time. Her act has provoked a backlash, with local media reporting that members of Muslim organisations have threatened to kill her.

“These are extremists who cannot tolerate any reform. I have had threats on WhatsApp, on YouTube, on Facebook, but I am not scared,” she says.

When you do abnormal things abnormal things happen to you! This Quranist are just plain ignorant. How can a lady lead Solah? And the guys at the back will be focussed? What if she is menstruating? And by saying the Quran says all humans are equal she lied! Adam was created first. And his wife was made from him.

An Extremist calling others extremist! Did the wives of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasalam ever led Solah for male adults in this way?

The least a woman can do is to lead her fellow women after she's been cleared of any defects (menstrual cycle). There is a reason the messanger of Allah (saw) admonished women to stand behind and to even stay longer in sujud. This has absolutely nothing to do with gender equality or subjugation of women.

This whole idea of women leading salat started in America. It is always them trying to corrupt things. I'm sure when she rukus, there will be at least a man trying to see her behind. That's not salat. That's mockery
