WetinhappenPR:
Media mogul and CEO of Kingpin Media Group, Kingpin Eshiet, shared a photo of him and a friend, on Facebook, slaughtering a giant sea turtle to make a meal.

It's amazing to see that we still have sea turtles around and that people eat do them.

Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) reports that Sea Turtles can be found along the Nigerian coastline.

Leatherback Turtles for instance, is one of the five species of sea turtles that can be found in Nigerian coastline.

It is the largest living sea turtle with weight and length exceeding over 650kg and 7ft respectively.

With a lifespan of about 30 years in the wild and are currently threatened by marine pollution, poaching and harvest of eggs along beaches.

However, Sea Turtles are endangered species wherever it is found.

Part of the measures to enhance its conservation and protection is to rescue it from captivity.

We hope you save one if you find it anywhere close to you.

Shame on you kingpin. Must we all join hands to wipe out our biodiversity pride? You should use your media to spread wildlife conservation and not wildlife consumption.

Africans(blacks) are never unique, these are creatures our great grand parents feasted on and they didn't vanish, because the whites are conserving them then we should do same also. These creatures are meant to be eaten.

Our ancestors weren't part of societies heavily populated as today's nor had alternative choices of nutrition as numerous. While I believe traditional Nigerian foods are better and healthier for growing children than foreign ones like noodles, we have to manage our wilderness because they (eco-systems) are disappearing fast. If our ancestors had been as numerous as today and consumed the wildlife around them as abundantly as is being portrayed by Nialrand, there would be no animals for people to gleefully consume and broadcast in order to gross.

This would have profit them much more if sold. Nigerians always thinking more of the present and less of the future, and economy is not an excuse for that.

Before you know, the people in Nigeria will start eating each other. Anyone that kills animal indiscriminately will not mind to kill fellow human when hungry. So sad to see all the exotic animals being wiped out in Nigeria due to hunger.

There shouldn't be hunger with all that oil!
