Earlier today a delegation of BENUE State Musicians visited Gov. Samuel Ortom at BENUE People's House Makurdi to presented a song written by selected Benue artists to propagate the killings in the state to the international community.

Making the presentation, leader of the delegation, Zaki Azzay said they decided to compose the song as part of their contribution to help Governor Ortom to tell the Benue story.

The artists said if not for the efforts of the governor in taking on the issue of herdsmen attacks in the state headlong, the situation could have been worse.

Responding, Governor Ortom acknowledged the great contributions of the Benue born artists to the entertainment industry, saying the state was proud of them.

He expressed hope that the operation Ayem a Kpatuma, also known as cat race deployed to the state by the president would engender peace and ensure the return of the displaced persons back to their ancestral homes.

Governor Ortom said he would continue to stand for justice, fairness and equity in the discharge of his duties, even as he urged other public office holders in the country to be true and patriotic Nigerians both in actions and utterances.

He said the ranching law enacted by his administration was a child of necessity which was meant to address clashes between herders and farmers.

The song Titled: "Our Benue," the song was written and composed by O.D. Woods, Zaki Azzay, Mark Owl, Rapizo and Jumabee and produced by Charles Creation.

It could be recall that last month BENUE State finest and Nigeria international best musician 2Baba (Innocent Ujah) and Black Face were also in BENUE People's House Makurdi to commiserates with the Gov. Samuel Ortom over FULANI Herdsmen attacks.
