WHO IS YOUR MASTER?

God who is the divine intelligence behind creation has only one adversary called Satan; the emergence of Satan as God’s Ark Enemy was to demonstrate the GREATNESS and POWER of God throughout the universe. It takes opposition to proof the strength and power of the mighty. “. . . for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.” Exo 9:16

Before INIQUITY was found in Lucifer, the whole creation of God was under ONE Supreme Master which is God (The ALMIGHTY: EL-SHADAI). He is the FATHER OF THE LIGHT who dwells in RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS and TRUTH. “The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory.” Psa 97:6

The mastery became split when iniquity was found in Lucifer. “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.” Eze 28:15. The ANOINTED CHERUB called Lucifer became Satan which means God’s adversary. That conflict threw Satan and other falling angels into DARKNESS while SIN, UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, WICKEDNESS and LIE followed him. This same character is found in his victims. “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.” 1Jn 3:8. Satan became THE RULER OF DARKNESS.

What followed was a TOTAL SEPARATION between Light and Darkness, Righteousness and Wickedness as the two can not dwell together. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 2Co 6:14.

Hence, the world came under the mastery of two strong opposing forces. THE FORCE OF THE LIGHT where God is the Master and the attributes of RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH are being exhibited and also THE FORCE OF DARKNESS where Satan the Devil is the Master and the attributes of SIN and WICKEDNESS are being exhibited.

Every individual that passes through this world are linked to either of these two masters, wherein influences are been drawn for a life character. NO ONE IS NEUTRAL. The one you OBEY or MANIFEST HIS CHARACTER is your master! “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” Rom 6:16. YOU CANNOT SERVE THE TWO MASTERS AT THE SAME TIME! “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Mat 6:24. You cannot claim to love God and still accommodate sin in your life.

To identify where you belong, just examine yourself inwardly and take a deep look of the kind of fruit you produce outwardly which is a reflection of the fountain in you. “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.” James 3:11-12.

Your heart is an abode for either God or Satan; that is why it must be guarded jealously: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Pro 4:23. The fruit(s) that issues from your life is a reflection of the indwelling master. “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: . . .” Mat 15:19-20. The Holy God cannot be the master of a defiled man because: “Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, . . .” 1Jn 3:6, 9-10. I want you to pause awhile now, examine your life and find out who your master is! By your kind of taste and desires, you can tell who is on the throne of your heart.

Today, the world is full of evil lusts which are of the devil: lack of godly fear, disobedience, arrogance, hatred, murder, terrorism, idolatry, fraud, drunkenness, evil inventions, etc. On the high rank are sexual immorality and indecency that have swept the whole world as people have lost their heart to the devil. You cannot claim God to be your master and still dress indecently with TIGHT, REVEALING and TRANSGENDER outfit. “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are ABOMINATION unto the LORD thy God.” Deut 22:5. Your appearance alone reveals who your master is. THINK ON THIS! Countless number of people, particularly youths have become a TOOL in the hand of Satan to bring pollution to the world; and this is what God said about such people: “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do . . .” Joh 8:44. This is a serious matter!

Any civilization that will not make your life to conform to the WORD of God is of the devil. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” 1Jn 2:15; “. . . know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4. The quality of your faith in God is reflected through GODLY CHARACTER, HOLY LIVING, OUTWARD APPEARANCE and THE COMPANY you keep. If God resides in your heart you will not fulfill the lusts of the devil. “(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth” Eph 5:9

Beloved reader, this exposition is not meant to condemn you; because every man that came to this world is affected in one way or the other: for we have all partook in the activities of sin under the mastery of the devil: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Rom 3:23. But herein is the love of God expressed by calling his children out of darkness into His marvelous Light. “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 Jhn3:8. Jesus Christ came to liberate you from the shackles of sin and darkness so that Satan will no longer be your master; Jesus want to be your Master, Lord and Saviour if you will be willing and obedient.

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Tit 2:11-14. I admonish you to embrace this GRACE while it last.

Let Jesus Christ be your Master as from today by renouncing the devil through GENUINE REPENTANCE from your sins. There is going to be a harvest at the last day wherein every one that walked in sin and darkness shall be gathered with their master Satan to face eternal destruction in the lake of fire prepared for the wicked – “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” Psa 9:17. Those that walk in the LIGHT and in RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign with Christ their Master in His Eternal Kingdom. “He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.” Rev 21:7

I want you to meditate deeply on the lyrics of this Hymn:

Come to the Savior, make no delay;
Here in his Word he has shown us the way;
Here in our midst he's standing today,
Tenderly saying, "Come!"

Refrain:
Joyful, joyful will the meeting be,
When from sin our hearts are pure and free;
And we shall gather, Savior, with thee,
In our eternal home . . .

Some noble men heard the gospel preached to them on the day of Pentecost and here was their reaction: “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Act 2:37-39.

Has God called you in this generation? If YES, Then “. . . Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Act 16:31. If you believe, there is something more to do: be baptized by immersion in water in the NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, then the HOLY GHOST would come. “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved….” Mar 16:16. Once this is done you are no longer under the mastery of the devil; God who expresses His Love to mankind through His passion in JESUS CHRIST shall become your MASTER now and for eternity.

Make Jesus your Master today.
