To my own understanding, masturbation is a sin and likewise it is not a sin ; it depends on the way that bring up the action as bible did not record or say anything about it rather bible says for you not to burn with passion, it is better to get yourself a wife or husband as the case maybe.

It is a sin when you LUST after someone maybe watching porn movie or looking at the opposite sex lustfuly before the action get started.

It is a sin when one is using it as an act to DEPRIVE one's husband or wife of sex because sex is to be enjoyed within a context of marriage.

It becomes a sin when it becomes an HABIT as too much of everything is not good and because of advance effect on one's health.

It is NOT a sin when the main intention is just too ease off your sexual urges whether single or married (maybe cos of work and distance and you rarely see your wife or husband or on traveling purposes over months). Which should be done on a very very rare occasion healthwisely cos medically it's good but too much of it has advance effect.
Tell me, Is it not better for someone to masturbate than to fornicate or commit adultery And not to talk of various disease that comes along with it!

Everybody has sex urges built up over time cos it has been put in us right from the time of creation. So, the best way to expulse these tension is to ease it out in one way (sex) or the other (masturbation or noutunal emmision).

Even too of sex is bad and it is tagged sin. Not that sex is bad but it has effect on one's life physically, mentally and spiritually. And likewise "strong drinks".
So likewise masturbation.

I am sorry to say I find this entire statement ridiculous. A hungry man who breaks into a home to steal food is a thief, nobody cares if he's hungry.

So masturbation is either good or bad not good and bad.

the bible also says it is better to marry than to burn with sexual passions(1Corinthians 7:9)~Masturbation is burning with sexual passions.
the bible says no sexualy immoral person will inherit the Kingdom of God(Galatians 5:19-21)~Masturbation is sexual immorality.
it is muslims that surport masturbation because it is not a sin in islam (shame)
