If the PDP puts their house in order the Baba will become a very bad market product for APC but where PDP refuses to produce a better alternative ,the Baba will be a preferred candidate ....Both parties are in a very precarious situation for now

angry We Yoruba Muslims will never sit and watch that happen. We owe Buhari and his Fulani tribe alot for bringing Islam to the South west and making us see the light through the holy teachings of Islam. We will do our best to support Buhari in 2019 and any subsequent Fulani candidates in future. Our votes in collaboration with the north is enough to neutralize the SE/SS paltry votes. Until the later regions accept Islam as their only religion, they may never smell the presidency again

then prepare to cry your ass out nonsensical

Buhari can be defeated only if PDP has good strategists who understand the dynamics of Nigeria's politics.
To start with the VP candidate (a credible one indeed perhaps nominated or supported by Ganiyu Adams) must come from South West. This is the only way to rip him off of South West votes. Anything other than this, will cause South West voters to ethnically align with him via Osinbajo. Yorubas are objective voters especially if they have options that are all theirs head or tail. See Olu Falae vs Obasanjo 1999.
The Presidential candidate may come from any part of the north. However, a young and innovative Muslim Hausa man preferable. He must be generally acceptable to Nigerians. A sitting governor if there is such. The governor of Gombe State comes to mind, irrespective of his ethnicity.
A virile propaganda outfit to pair up Buhari against Donald Trump. APC used that against Jonathan. If need be let them put up an advert to congratulate Donald Trump on his one year in office while reminding him of the need for a credible election in Nigeria. Let them harp on the importance of a peaceful Nigeria to the world and US in particular.
PDP should show some sense of remorse of some past ill-actions. If need be apologise to Nigerians. They should come up with feasible programmes and strategies to turn around the economy if elected. These and others will endear them to Nigerians and will assure them of victory.
Why must it be a northern presidency again?

Granted that, even if the endless funds and crowd support were there, the power structure still won't accommodate a "people's champion" in form of Independent Candidacy!

Can't we at least have the East in presidency? Or another region? Or can't thegame be recalibrated for us to use other iindices beyond tribal distributions and ethnicities?

You spoke well but lost me at the northern candidacy thing clause.

We need to overhaul the framework, it's looking obvious that the country ain't set to see any meaningful change soon.

Buhari can be defeated! Buhari will not win, Buhari will lose!!, Buhari Should not Run!!

We have less than 1 year to the election, Yet Not a single credible opposition or Candidate has emerged.
He will Win the Election if he decides to Contest and he will win by Landslide!!

Is there a word bigger than a landslide? They have not seen anything yet. Where is the credible candidate to oppose him? Which section of the country has more registered voters with PVCs? Let's be realistic. It will be tough to get him out at this stage.

Before you attack this statement, try attacking the assertion in bold first. I don't support Buhari. I am just saying it as it is. If you want him out, go out and get your PVCs and pray our mass is enough to topple the northern oligarchs and almajiris undecided

Which East? Is that how democracy is practised? Just carry presidency and give east, just like that, they don't have to win. Is that why kanu was leading agitation? Btw, which change are you talking about? If blocking of loopholes from massive looting is not enough change for now, go and resurrect kanu for another agitation. When Jonathan was there for 6 years and was contesting for a second term, why didn't you ask "why southern presidency again"?

PMB is definitely not the best we can offer as a country and I don't even think any candidate in the current Nigerian landscape, young or old is capable or can get us to the promise land.

Sure, PMB can be defeated, even any candidate can be defeated, but sadly for PDP, village Igbos, and anti-Nigerian elements, PMB cannot be defeated by the PDP or any variation of the clowns out there.

The way things are in Nigeria at the moment, PMB will win the next election simply because PMB is not a viable or acceptable choice for Nigerians.

As far as Nigerians are concerned, PDP is a grossly corrupt political party full of equally corrupt, crooked and incompetent clowns.

The PDP is nothing but damaged good and Nigerians won't touch the PDP with a million foot pole.

Come to think of it who is even the candidates PDP is coming with?
As it stands in politics majority wins the race and I know Atiku is the only popular person PDP can produce that is recogniced Nation wide.

No matter what it takes we all should stand with him just to kick Buhari and his Fulani jihad plan to ruin Nigeria out.

Atiku is a business man who don't meddle much with religion that is the kind of person Nigeria needs right now.
And those talking about a Youth president for 2019 please let's be realistic the tine is too short for that now.
We are talking of next year 2019.
2023 will be there and beyond.
But if we hope to see a better Nigeria again let us kick out this mistake of a Buhari.

Northern presidency as it is now is the understanding of the dynamism of Nigeria's politics. For now get the power.

A lot of people are missing the point. We all know that the possibility of Buhari losing the election is there. However, the one question that defies answer is if he will behave like Jonathan and concede defeat. They say he is a "reformed democrat" but we have also tasted how much of what APC sold us and how much is actual. Now the North is behaving as if it won a Jihad and as if Buhari is Holy Mohammed. With people like Ango Abdulahi spewing vile and thrash one can expect the North to refuse defeat unlike "weak and democratic" Jonathan.

Sadly for you Igbos and religious bigots, you can remove PMB from office with religious bigotry, hatred, bitterness, tribalism and ignorance.

You Igbos are yet to smell and can never even smell Aso rock because your only campaign platform and marketable goals are the same religious bigotry, hatred, bitterness, tribalism and ignorance.
