Re: Prom Dress Made With Ankara by Gilbertman(m): 3:35pm On Apr 25, 2010 |
This seems an all female affair, However the @ poster if she is in Nigeria can call Evelyn on 08052044735 to fit her up. @moderators, something should have been done to correct the typo error, Akara(beancake) cf Ankara (textile material, wax etc) Good responses @all, those styles and pics are really good to show to the female folks in one's family. Kudos, ! |

Re: Prom Dress Made With Ankara by baybbootz(f): 7:56pm On Apr 25, 2010 |
yeah big sys, dreamz is right. Batik and campala are very similar, what distinguishes them is the method used to transfer print on them. in Batik the prints are transfered by using wax, while in Campala the prints are transfered using the tie and dye method. You should try and compare the prints that were on the fabric your mum got u,and you problem is solved. |

baybbootz: Your such a smart baybsis That's exactly what I intended doing, but your have just cleared up any doubt. It was not tie and dye, I have a few tie dye outfits I am not keen on that.
