Wary of Eden Hazard’s imminent departure from the Stamford Bridge, Chelsea is considering a move for American teenage sensation, Christian Pusilic. The 19 year old Dortmund star is being considered as a possible replacement for Hazard, who might leave for Real Madrid in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the US forward has been heavily linked to several clubs like Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal since last summer. However, Chelsea seems to be in pole position in getting the signature of the young winger a deal that might involve Chelsea loanee, Michy Batshuayi.

The American player was recently rated as the 4th most promising talent in Europe by the International Centre for Sports Studies, (CIES) football Observatory’s report, after AC Milan’s Donnarumma, Toulouse’s Alban Lafont and PSG’s Kylian Mbappe.

Christian Pusilic is valued around £88m by Dortmund, due to his versatility in any attacking position. He has scored 4 goals and 3 assists in all competition for the German side this season.
