Duolingo is a popular smartphone app that allows you learn new languages. People are using the app and its courses to learn their home languages like French etc. The past generation has done their best by making a writing system for Nigerian languages.

Now we the young ones should take it a step further by making courses of our local dialects on Duolingo. Some Nigerians have asked and Duolingo has responded that volunteers have to make the course for a la guage then they do the rest.

Why are we ignoring this as a possible solution to promoting our languages, helping our dying languages or those at risk?

Seun, lalasticlala and co please consider putting this on the FP. Thanks.
