Facebook is NOT and can never be described as a letter of recommendation, not even some of the time. The kind of content people post on Facebook, range from things that are comically ridiculous, to outright hype. Very little of it is true. So who on earth would describe it as a letter of recommendation? If you had even said Linkedin which is a professional networking site that deals with real life scenario, career issues, executive management insights, as well as company related info, you might even have a point. But Facebook? Haba!

You love to argue in a manner that makes you look stewvpid. No rational top notch employer uses Facebook to screen applicants. Any employer who does that is either a mediocre one, or one whose firm isn't worth the paper it is written on.

Employers screen for talent, skill, aptitude and competency. That is why they subject candidates to computer-based tests, quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as interviews. Before social media came on board, how were employers screening people? When employers or organisations ask for social media handles, it is because they have a product or service to sell, and want to add you to their mailing list. A social media page is not worth anything, but the traffic it carries. Get that into your head.

To land a job, improve your skills. Master your craft. Get certified in an area of specialisation, and impress the interviewers with your knowledge, skill, aptitude and thought processes. Above all, pray that God should make things happen for you. Basing all your mind or effort on whether an employer will assess your social media post or handle or site, is crap!

its easier when you use opera mini brawser to access ur facebook! go to ur profile and use the "edit" on ur personal info. there is always an option on editing ur privacy! u can chose from the following options, "only me" "friends" or "public" chosing only me will mean only u can view pictures or info, while "friends" means ur friends can access them too.
