Prague Subway System Now Has Ten New Bitcoin ATMs

Brisbane International is Now the World’s First Crypto-Friendly Airport

Last January news.Bitcoin.com reported on the Brisbane Airport in Australia preparing to accept cryptocurrencies. Now today all the merchants and airport terminals accept different digital assets such as bitcoin core, dash, bitcoin cash, ethereum, nem, and steem making it one of the friendliest cryptocurrency airports in the world.

Individuals traveling to Brisbane or the South East Queensland area in Australia can now spend different cryptocurrencies at the Brisbane International Airport. Huobi Expected to Enter Brazilian Cryptocurrency Market

The third best cryptocurrency exchange by volume, Huobi, appears poised to enter the Brazilian market – with local reports signify that the company has established an office in São Paulo, in addition to seeking to hire local talent. The interest in Brazil’s market comes at a time of peak interest in cryptocurrency among Brazilian citizens, according to reports.

Local media is assuming that Huobi, the third largest cryptocurrency exchange by trade volume, is readying itself to discreetly enter Brazil’s virtual currency markets.

The assumption appears to be informed by multiple events, including accounts that Huobi representatives were witnessed handing out business cards during the current “Bitconf VI São Paulo” conference. BTC City – Slovenia’s Largest Shopping Center to Become a ‘Genuine Bitcoin City’

Slovenia’s biggest shopping destination is putting into action plan to become a “genuine Bitcoin City.” Coincidentally named BTC City already, the complex stretches 475,000 square meters and is filled with 500 retail stores. Indonesia to Regulate Cryptocurrencies as Commodities

Cryptocurrencies in Indonesia will be regarded as commodities, according to a new decision by the country’s futures market regulator. It comes after a study concluding that digital coins deserve the commodity status. The government is expected to prepare a broader regulation covering other feature of the crypto sector including trading and taxation.

In spite of crackdowns in the past, and the disinclination of the Bank Indonesia to accept them as legitimate means of payment, cryptocurrencies have in the end received acknowledgment from the executive power in Jakarta. Latin American NGOs Embark Upon Tour to Promote Bitcoin in Argentina

Non-government organizations Bitcoin Argentina and Bitcoin Americana have begun ‘Bitcoineta‘ – a minivan tour across Argentina designed to bolster bitcoin knowledge and adoption.

The tour will see the van visit numerous Argentine villages and small cities, with the tour seeking to stress the use-cases for bitcoin at a grassroots level. After traveling across Argentina, Bitcoineta then hopes to embark on an awareness campaign across Latin America.

The project seeks to target disparate social demographics that can profit from greater cryptocurrency adoption. Gabriel Kurman, one of the founders of the Bitcoineta project, stated, “It’s a dream to bring bitcoin and blockchain technology to Latin America to those people who do not have access to knowledge. Thailand Unveils Details of Crypto Regulations, Legalizing 7 Cryptocurrencies

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand has revealed the details of the country’s regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies and initial coin offerings, including licensing requirements, fees, and a list of seven certified cryptocurrencies.

The Thai Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) made known on Friday the details of the country’s cryptocurrency and initial coin offering (ICO) regulations. The measures were certified at the regulator’s June 7 meeting and are expected to go into effect later on this month, according to local media. “The proposed approach has been through public hearings in different channels,” MGR Online wrote.

This declaration follows the decree which went into effect on May 14, putting the Thai SEC in charge of crypto regulations. It also follows the country’s crypto taxation proclamation.

According to SEC deputy secretary-general Tipsuda Thavaramara, the Commission’s regulatory scope includes ICOs, crypto exchanges, brokerage countries, dealers and other parties granted by the Finance Ministry, the Bangkok Post reported, adding that at first.

“Some of the main criteria used by the SEC to assess cryptocurrency trading pairs,” the news outlet detailed, are the “consensus credibility and cryptocurrency liquidity.” Thai Rath publication added that these seven cryptocurrencies are certified because they do not promote privacy.

More Japanese Public Companies Entering the Crypto Space

Following reports of six publicly mentioned companies launching their own cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan, three other companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange have made known plans to enter the space with different crypto offerings.

Publicly traded firms in Japan are increasingly seeking to enter the crypto space to offer different crypto-related services. Large Passenger Bus Companies in Brazil Start Accepting Three Cryptocurrencies

Two biggest passenger bus companies in Brazil have started accepting cryptocurrency payments for ticket sales. The companies say they are the first in the sector to accept crypto payments in the country. One of them has more than 800 buses; the other claims to have the newest and most modern fleet in Brazil.

Two public transportation companies of the GBS Group have decided to accept payments in cryptocurrencies. Brasil Sul and Viação Garcia both started accepting BTC payments for online ticket sales on June 6. The crypto payment alternative has already been added to their websites.

The companies wrote, “In the country, it is the first group of passenger transports to accept” crypto payments, adding that Viação Garcia was founded in 1934. Today, the company is one of Brazil’s five biggest companies in the sector, its website claims. “The modern fleet of more than 800 buses runs 5.5 million kilometers per month.” At the same time, Brasil Sul’s website claims that the company “has the newest and most modern fleet in Brazil.”
