This is 2018, and Nigeria is still facing alot of challenges, the Nigeria of our dreams has still not manifested.

We are currently experiencing depreciation in sectors like Education, employment and agriculture.

This makes me wonder, did slow pace national progression play any role in the quest for Biafra in 1967?

Else, what triggered the demand for Biafra?

1) The massacre of over 50,000 easterners, men, women and children all over Nigeria, mainly in the North in 1966.

2) The breaking of the Aburi agreement by the Nothern backed government of Gowon.

3) The above two reasons was enough for Igbos to seek independence as Biafrans as well as the refusal of Igbos and Ojukwu to accept Northern domination without a fight, unlike Yorubas and Awolowo who were only too glad to accept Northern domination in other to avoid war in their land

what led to the war was greediness, selfishness by Igbo people who wanted to dominate Nigerians. Hausas on the other were victims of many circumstances caused by d Igbo who thinks they are not smart.

Only South East and South South foresaw the failure of Nigeria as a country... So they decided to be on their own hence their agitation for Biafra even until this day.

A country where people kill and proudly claim it like any terrorist organisation would, but the authorities won't arrest them because they are their people.. I mean the Fulani people...

A country build on hate and deception. A country built on division and lies. A country built for exploitation by the British and other world powers.

BIAFRA saw the failure and wanted their own separate country where the tradition/culture is 80% similar.

In Biafra Africa died

First of all, the country Nigeria is an artificial creation by the British who decided to lump various groups of people who don't share the same language, culture, values and religious beliefs into one geographical area without the consent of the people involved. That in itself is problematic.

Can you a Nigerian go to Europe and forcefully merge England, Germany, France and Norway into one country without the consent of the various ethnicities that make up these countries?

Why then do you think it is okay to lump over 200 African ethnic groups into one nation when they were never really open to that crappy arrangement?

Many of you Nigerians are daft, unintelligent mofos. In 2018, most of you still don't get it that your country's foundation was / is faulty and was set up to fail from the start by your European colonisers.

You people stay in your crappy country bickering about tribe differences and treating each other unfairly yet you people insist on staying together.

You Nigerians don't see eye to eye amongst yourselves on a lot of things but instead of you to break away and form monoethnic nations that stand a better chance of thriving, you insist on remaining together while your country Nigeria continues to get worse each passing year.

A time will come when embassies from not just 1st world countries but even 2nd and developing countries will make it extremely difficult for Nigerians to get visas. Don't think that the world is not observing everything going down in Nigeria.

If in 2018, Nigerians are still battling erratic power supply and poor water supply and fuel scarcity, high food prices, poor healthcare, etc then obviously Nigeria has no business being a country.

It has nothing to do with you being black. It has everything to do with the fact that you Nigerians are not compatible with each other and therefore you can't seem to agree on anything amongst yourselves and that has resulted in your country being in a state of perpetual stagnation.

Nigeria has become a liability and even her own citizens have no clue on the way forward. Nigeria has not used her diverse ethnic population to her advantage. Many Nigerians are fed up being stuck with other Nigerians who don't even like them to begin with.

So why then do you people get mad when people suggest a way forward even if it means disintegration?

Do you Nigerians like the way Nigeria is now? Anyways, I don't live in your failed country so I can care less. Don't blame those demanding for Biafra. They seemingly want better for their unborn generation.

Respect! God bless you brother.
We don't want to be part of this nation, a nation that prefers the life of a cow to that of human. I'm happy because this nation is packing up, with the world switching over to cleaner energy, crude oil is becoming irrelevant.

They wish we all perish, instead of hard work.

Northerners aren't d ones that slowed down d development of this country..we all know those dat did.

"Igbo coups" and other constant attacks on d northerners by d igbos brought about d reprisals from d Hausa people.

Many northerners formidable leaders were killed by d Igbo which led to d northerners to give them ultimatum to leave d North but they refused till they started killing biafrans and forcing some back to the east, Ojukwu now demanded they shouldn't be asked to leave their own country otherwise they will prefer to secede.

this was what escalated to Biafra.

The so called "newly found oil wealth" was in the Eastern Region. There was no 'SS' back then and the 'Niger Delta' of then was mainly present day Bayelsa.

But the main thing is that back then, there 50% derivation resourse control plus another percentage for general and national.

Today, the so called 'SS' are getting 13% derivation. So if the SS were getting 50% in the old Eastern Region that later became Biafra, but today get 13% in Nigeria, who lost out?

The SS lost out big time
