We don't have to have anybody to replace him. We just vote him out like we did Jonathan and continue like that until we get someone whose ambition is to leave his name in gold

The problem we have in this country is an issue of "it's our turn" honestly we need to do away with such statement if na ijaw man go save this country and represent wella y not give him the mandate and besides let me add further this is nothing a true leader can not achieve in his/her first tenure and mustn't seek reelection.

NB it's my brother, our brother etc is now the president bla bla bla the country keeps moving in circles.

F*ck the North! Donald Duke for president

UncleJJ:

Does Emmanuel Ogundele claim GEJ was oblivious or perhaps not complicit in regards to the unabated pilfering of the Nigeria's endowments? He spent 2 paragraphs white washing GEJ; the most interesting statement is "Truly we got rid of Jonathan and look at what we have." The writer attempts to rewrite GEJ's role in Nigeria's current dilemma from predator to prey.

If you acquired a used car from a dealer, who would you say is responsible for the mileage accumulated on the vehicle's speedometer.

There is a 99.9% chance Osinbajo will be the preferred candidate of the APC in the future all things remaining equal. However, if the current president declines to run for presidency; the north may insist on 4 more years, which will actually turn to 8 years.

This article is more of a subliminal political manifesto; an indirect endorsement of the opposition whoever it may be. It is not different from President Obasanjo's letter, which like this was designed to inspire mass hysteria.

Everybody can identify problems, even the roadside mechanic can tell you about issues Nigeria is contending with. But, nobody can offer Nigerians a real sustainable long term solutions. Nigerian's themselves will have to figure this out for themselves.

Problem is u folks don't understand how politics works. The man controls the Party apparatus, the money, the party stalwarts, etc. And u will beat him with noise.

Problem with Buhari is not just corruption. That is the least of the problems.
Buhari is very incompetent. He is clearly a tribalist. And a religious bigot.
There are a lot of people out there that can replace Buhari and do a much better job. Buhari is the worst President Nigeria have had so far. He is not qualified to be President at all.

All that said, u have to beat him to replace him. As things stand, u can't beat him. Problem is u folks don't understand how politics works. The man controls the Party apparatus, the money, the party stalwarts, etc. And u will beat him with noise.

Is that all that matters to you right now?
Does name run a nation?

Tell me what Buhari whose name rings a bell around the world has achieved as president?

There are technical things that go into being a viable candidate. One of them is name recognition. Another is having a major party staunchly behind u. That's why u see the same faces again and again - it is not because they are the best. Problem is u folks don't understand how politics works. The man controls the Party apparatus, the money, the party stalwarts, etc. And u will beat him with noise.

Jonathan basically decided it wasn't worth the hassle and possible bloodshed. He could have won. The same way OBJ could have won a third term. The same way Buhari would win if he decides to run. There are technical things that go into who wins, it is not by noise and wishful thinking.

I am not sure that when Nigerians were going to the polls they had bargained for what they have at the moment: a highly nepotistic leader, insensitively religious and deeply incompetent person. We have today sitting as president of this country, the worst we have ever had, one who has beaten all records in terms of poor governance.

Nigeria is just a mess. undecided

Also Donald Duke, Martin Onovo, Ngozi Iweala, Fashola etc.
We just need to see any of these names declare interest, I'll so throw my whole weight and resources behind their campaign.
We don't need another failed wrinkled incompetent thieving bastard from the past. Most importantly we don't need an Hausa, they've clenched the presidency for too long and the reign of the evil Cabal must be usurped. We bringing Power to the S outh or we split to our confederates.

Sir, with due respect, all these names you mentioned are utterly as corrupt as Jonathan and Buhari. They have all served in government at one time or the other and none of them can say they nevrler stole. What I am really saying is there is no elected personalities who have served in government since 1999 that has not corruptly enrich themselves.

Also while I remain optimistic that in a country of 160million people we cannot say we cannot get a true leader. I just think we need to do away with all this scrap who are masquerading as saints.

Obj was made to see reasons not to pursue the third term beyond the level he did. Don't worry, buhari will be made to see reasons to go back to duara in peace otherwise, it will be in disgrace. Maybe you don't know that some people were with Jonathan during collation of 2015 election results. It was those people who made Jonathan see reasons why conceding was the best option. If Buhari loses the elections, he will be made to go. No technical thing will save him

Jonathan didn't really want to anymore, thus didn't pull out all the stops. It is VERY HARD to beat an incumbent president in a system such as Nigeria's. We simply have to find a way to keep Oga from running.

You don't understand. There are those who run this country. When those people decided it time, no matter who you are, you listen. When it is time, buhar will be reached and isolated from Abba and mongonu and his cabal. I his isolation, he will see reasons why he should accept his defeat if his is defeated which seems more likely at this point. If Jonathan was with madam peace and her Co travelers, do you think Jonathan will make that call?? He was with one "peace committee ". Just watch, there will be similar committee made of men that Buhari can not refuse

Now u r talking. There are people that run the country, and in our current system it is THE PRESIDENT. He basically has all the real power. Every other person is a noise maker. That's why it's very hard to beat him, if he is the seat-tight type.

The president reports to someone. He depend on people. He has managers. He is very easy to control no matter how sit tight he is

The president has all the real power in our system. Simple. All those influential big names u see, who do u think appointed them? Who do u think they will support? Who do u think has the reources to run unlimited ads and change people's perception? Even, who controls INEC itself? You think that counts for nothing? Politics is not wishful thinking and noise-making.
