insert another network sim into the modem, d modem will request for the unlock code. But if the counter has been exhausted u wont be able to unlock it.

I have inserted another network sim in the modem but I am not getting the prompt to enter the unlock code with the new sim card inserted.

The software 'huawei code writer', should solve this problem but this isn't the case for all models of modems it seems.

New models of/updated modems may, have been blocked from working with the old unlocking methods and tools (I am not hundred percent certain about this).

I vaguely remember updating my modems and hope that isn't the cause of the problem.

Wen u insert d mtn sim does d modem detect it? If yes, oga suntemi is very correct. But if no, d sim tray may b faulty. 4 d counter he can n i can help u wit d counter but its not over-the-air i.e u wil bring it in person ni.
