I think Nigeria is quite different to the colonies where the majority population was other europeans.

Let's tell ourselves the truth. Britain was angry leaving Nigeria because America was the one putting pressure on them to give up their colonies.

WWII weakened British economy and power and they didn't have the resources to maintain all their colonies and America being the only western power gave them a mandate to stop colonialism.

Imagine if someone is made to unwillingly give up their priced possessions. They will try to mess it up as much as possible if they won't benefit directly from it.

If you are vast in history and studied how countries and nations are formed, then you will understand why Nigeria and other African countries created by colonists was a project created to FAIL.

Britain may have created a colony in North America, but they never created USA. but it was Americans (British and European immigrants) that founded the modern nation of America in 1776.
