Which official exactly confirmed this sale/money exchange?

Isn't it shady that no name of official and also the official website of the US is silent about this sale and confirmation

you are the only one with brain on this thread, other are just typing trash. This news is what is called fake news, the villa pressmen cooked up and dished hot to zombies.

GEJ took money in private jets to go and buy arms immediately due to the present danger and he was regarded as a thief, now an old duara man took money from the ECA, a brain child of okonjo for which his present crop of ministers (fashola and amechi) fought her tooth and nail for to go and buy a plane in 2020 to fight a present danger.

The us tactically told them it would be supplied in 2020 because they wanted it to be supplied after the presidential elections and our villa pressmen are now the accountants of the US receiving money on their behalf and telling zombies.

They are buying war planes and not toy planes. You don't expect it to be readily available. Since you aren't good with this move, what should they have done?

Nigerian youth are just seriously LAZY!!!

Please what is the name of the US dept of state official that gave this press briefing,

Where is it stated that the US treasury collected this money?

How can money meant for the manufacturer a private company be paid into the US treasury?

I dare Nigeria to come up with clear evidence that the money was sent to the US treasury. This is face saving propaganda to cover an inflated contract that was done illegally by buhari

God bless Mr President...
For those bitter clowns that thought this is the era where funds are approved for election purposes or where Dansuki just orders CBN to release money for special duties, or for some useless reason because of election, that era is dead and buries with the last administration.

And those intellectually lazy youths who thought $10mil is the actual cost not considering that it depends on config, and that is the lowest possible amount, Garba Shehu was not wrong. You clowns forgot that, rockets and bombs including training and other military hardware/weapons are included in the contract.

Shame on the enemies of Nigeria...

Buhari till 2023 after which Osinbajo will take over
May God Almighty in his full infinite majesty answer this your prayer to insure that Nigeria is fully taken away from the trolls of the criminally minded leaders and their hangers on

If buhari believed that the senate are in love with his administration, and he has a clear heart towards the money he collected for the jet, why not follow due process? He refusd tge senate process because no one can buy an idea he can not defend. Are the boko haram abd herdsmen using jet fighter? Stop praising a man who already knows he has failed. Let's even accumulate the amount spent so far with his cabinet traveling like birds here and there you will see that this man has robbed us. No good thing has changed Nigeria economy or improve our standard with this his traveling tactic.

But major constitutional bother here is that the expense was already captured in the Budget which had not been passed and for Buhari to go on to make such an expense was totally unconstitutional not minding the source of the funds

I totally understand your point. The constitution doesn't allow for spending without approval. There might be a clause that allows for it in the case of National Security and even for that, Buhari has to send for post approval but I am not 100% sure.

AS FAR AS THE MONEY IS FOR SECURITY WHICH IS PARAMOUNT IN A NATION LIKE OURS, BABA CARRY GO. , NO SHAKING., LET THE SENATE GO AND HUG TRANSFORMER. AS FAR AS THE APPROVAL DID NOT PASS THROUGH THEM FOR PADDING, IT WILL BE UNCONSTITUTIONAL ,BUT IF IT HAD GONE THROUGH THEM , IT WILL BE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT.

That is where you always get it wrong, and will continue to do so ,basing every permutation on ethnic, and religious factor.

How did Obasabjo got votes from the North , did he not contested againd8a Northerner?

Yes, he will win in all major Northern states u quoted above.. ....

Your last paragraph confirned how dumb, and imbecilic u r, SE, SS waiting for their turn?

When did it become turn by turn? The Presidency is there for the taking, as long as you do your permutation, and combination well.. .

Keep waiting for Igbo presidency to be handed over to you like a plate of Akpu.....
Obasanjo was running under the platform of the undisputed champion at that time.
The PDP had no real rival.
He won the south which osibanjo will never win before proceeding to the north to get votes there.

He didn't win as much in the north as he did in the south , which was expected as a southerner, but he already got the required southern support.

In fact the two southern presidents won the south perfectly, and then consolidated on the north by picking votes in some northern states and losing some.

Osibanjo on the other hand will be running again a fierce opposition party unlike obasanjo in his time. .

He is not going to win the south, and would need the overwhelming support from the north which would be impossible for obvious reasons .
And he is going to run against a northerner from the PDP.

Guy, your osibanjo is a political lightweight.

Due process with the 2018 budget still sitting with NASS because of Magu, with the senate claiming they wont confirm any of the president's appointee because of Magu. When will NASS expose the salaries and allowances for us to see?

It is really heartwarming to see Igbos supporting and fighting for the Nigerian constitution all of sudden, but we know they don't give a shitt about Nigeria or the Nigerian constitution, this is just the usual lazy, illiterate, ignorant, angry, bigoted, bitter, frustrated and disgruntled anti-Nigerian elements forming as if the really care about Nigeria, but we know they don't

Jona and Okonjo illegally stole our $2 billion without the approval of the Nigerian lawmakers and gave it to DASUKI/ATM to share with their crooked and corrupt cronies, but the same Igbos in this thread crying didn't care, they did not say anything about the Nigerian constitution, in fact, the crooks and recipients of the looted funds are their heroes and idols like Fayose who collected billions from DASUKI/ATM Joa the real thief who stole the money without house approval is still their hero.

PMB spent $469 million on aircraft to protect Nigerians with, but Igbos are foaming at the mouth like mad bingo dogs.

ipob, your crocodile tears and your in the middle of the night love for the Nigerian constitution is comedic and laughable, but we are not buying it because you are still the Nigerian hating, bitter, frustrated and anti-Nigerian Igbos.

You guys should quit whining. When moves weren't made, you complained. Now that the move has been made, you are still complaining. Wtf, do you really want?

Some of you talk like you are kids without thinking faculty, a war plane is designed from scratch when you place an order and they are designing 12 for Nigeria alone. This isn't toy planes thag you can buy at the next shop beside your house and this procurement is from the US who happened to be selling to other countries too.

There is nothing like impeachable offence here..... sections 83 (1-2) of the Nigerian constitution allows the president as executive head to make extra budgetary spending in an emergency where a matter or such is deemed by mr president to be of National Interest.

it only makes it obligatory for mr president to communicate the National Assembly , requesting for a post-action approval. That is exactly what has happened in the circumstance....

You are learned!
