Hence, the need to segment MTN data bundles into different categories so that all fingers can afford theirs without stress in their own path. That is why today, everyone can afford to buy MTN data for as low as #25.

Who can subscribe to MTN Data bundle?
Recently, one of our esteemed readers asked me the above question. While answering that question, I made him understand that everyone is eligible to get any MTN data bundles of their choice so long as they're MTN network subscribers. When I said subscribers, I simply mean customers that are individuals that are on the MTN network.

How do I subscribe to MTN Data bundles?
Like I said earlier, all MTN customers who wish to buy MTN data plan can do that via USSD code. To do that, you need to dial *131*1# and select your preferred data plan. MTN customers can also get MTN data bundles via SMS. If you wish to do that via SMS, all that you need do is to send the bundle plan keyword to 131.

MTN Data Plans
1. MTN Daily Data Plans
Under this daily plans, there are basically two types. The 50MB and the 150MB data plans. Both data plans last for a period of 24 hours. Once that period elapses, the data will automatically be disabled. So, if you wish to use this data plan do always ensure to finish it within the stipulated period whenever you subscribe.

How To Purchase MTN Daily Plans Data Bundles
The procedure you need to follow to buy either of the two daily MTN data plans is as easy as the word. The 50MB daily data plan cost N100 only and as I earlier told you will expiry within 24Hrs. The 150MB MTN daily data plan, on the other hand, cost N200 only and just like the 50MB counterpart last for a period of 24Hrs too. To enjoy these data plans, you must endeavour to have your battery fully charge so that you'd be able to finish it within the time interval.

To purchase the 50MB MTN daily data plan, text this USSD code (104) to 131. Whereas, to purchase the 150MB MTN daily data plan, text this USSD code (113) to 131. When once you do that, your phone will be activated with the required data if you have the said amount in your account. Subsequently, to purchase these data plans, you can simply dial *131# and follow the on-screen instruction.

2. MTN Weekly Data Plans
Just like the MTN daily data plans, there are also two MTN weekly data plans. The first one is the 150MB data plan which cost N300 and lasts for a period of 7 days. The second one is the 500MB + 250MB(*bonus data) which cost N500 and also last within a period of 7 days. To purchase these data plans, you need to follow a similar procedure as we did in the preceding section though here, different codes will be required of you.

To purchase 150MB MTN weekly data plan, simply text this USSD code (102) to 131. Once you do that, your account will be credited with the data and you can then browse the web 24/7. In the same vein, to activate the 500MB + 250MN(*bonus data bundles), simply text this code(103) to 131. Note that if you have the required amount in your account balance and you follow the procedure accordingly, your data will be credited to your account and you can then start enjoying your browsing.

3. MTN Monthly Data Plans
Here, there are altogether six data plans bundles. The various data plans are as follows;
1GB + 500MB (*bonus data) at N1,000,
1.5GB at N1,200,
2.5GB + 1GB(*bonus data) at N2,000,
5GB at N3500,
10GB at N5,000 and finally,
22GB at N10,000.

How To Purchase The MTN Monthly Data Plans
Just like the previous ones, to buy all of these MTN monthly data plans all you need do is to send a code that is for the particular plan you wish to purchase. All of the various plans outlined above hasve their own USSD codes. Remember you that you can't use the USSD code number that is for 1G for the one that is for 1.5G. In essence, if peradventure you want to subscribe for 1G and you mistakenly sent the USSD code that is for the one of 1.5G, bear it in mind that if you have an amount in your account that afford that 1.5G, that your account shall be recharged with that data plan.

So, in doing this, you need to know the code that is peculiar to the plan you want to opt for before you go on texting it to 131 to void unwanted hassle. B. To purchase 1.5GB at N1,200, text this USSD code(130) to 131
C. To purchase 2.5GB + 1GB(*bonus data) at N2,000, simply text this USSD code (110) to 131
D. To purchase 5GB at N3500, simply text this USSD code (107) to 131
E. To purchase 10GB at N5,000, simply text this USSD code (116) to 131
F. To purchase 22GB at N10,000, simply text this USSD code (117) to 131

Please note that all of these data plans when activated will last for a period of 30 days. If you still have an unused data balance and the period within which the data is expected to elapse is almost at hand, you can always roll over the data. This MTN data bundle feature enables you to still use your data that was supposed to expire in the near future.

4. 60 Day/Quarterly MTN Data Plans
Here, we've basically two MTN data plans bundles. The first one is the 50GB at N20,000 which last for a period of 60 days when activated. The second one is the 85GB at N50,000 which last within a period of 90 days when activated. If you want to purchase of these data plans, you're also expected to send a USSD code to 131. Note that before you send the code to 131 you'll need to have the said amount in your account balance. If not your transaction won't be successful at all. So, want to buy or purchase any of these plans, if yes, then do the following;

A. To purchase 50GB at N20,000, simply text this USSD code(118) to 131
B. To purchase 85GB at N50,000, text this USSD code(133) to 131

MTN Data Plans Terms
Here're the various MTN Data bundle renewal terms and conditions
1. To roll over your unused data balance, simply renew your bundle before expiration.
2. Auto-renewal applies on any data bundle you buy.
3. To check your active bundle(s) and data balance(s), simply Text 2 to 131 or Dial *131*4#
4. To opt out, send “NO” to 131 e.g Text “NO104” to 131
