This Nooteboom Super Wing Carrier is specially designed to transport extremely long loads like a windmill rotor blades by road in a much easier, faster and efficient way. The normal extendible semi-trailers are no longer practical to carry loads that are up to 60 metres in length ,as they require building a completely new road and route before it can moved . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9whrZef4I4&t=157&feature=youtu.be From the clips above, the rear wheels of the super wing carrier were steered , allowing it to makes a 90 degrees tight turn on a narrow bridge with railings on both sides. Without the carrier , patience and a very careful measurement, it is almost impossible to do such a transport with a 60 metres long (196.85ft) blade. Have you seen a truck or trailer ( carrying loads of similar lenght) attempt this kind of tight turn on a narrow road before? Kudos to the driver but it's still dangerous and a risky turn. There are better ways to ship the cargo. |

We have trucks like this in Nigeria. Most construction companies building bridge use them to move precast components. Though they are not these long but they do tight turns that are proportional to these as well 2 Likes |

EgunMogaji:They have to move peoples homes just to move the blade really? My friend don't think because a white man did this it becomes OK. If this is not a public stunt they don't need to remove peoples home to make way the truck. They can move it this way.

shortgun: They transport homes. The space shuttle was flown on the back of a 747 from Florida to Los Angeles and then trailered to its final destination. I’m not your friend. And I don’t think in terms of white man or black man. It’s 2018. They didn’t airlift it for a reason because not everything can be airlifted. 2 Likes
