Factory Repair Information obtained and links established to part suppliers both locally and internationally.

If you have a SAAB and want it fixed right, feel free to get in touch with us.

The company SAAB Automobile is defunct. But it sold its parts arm to a financially viable firm operating till today in the United States and globally, in addition to this there is a healthy tokunbo market for the parts, if you need same, we can get anything for you from our sources locally or internationally between 7 days (at the best) and 30 days(at the worst).

Till tomorrow people are driving SAABs and selling SAABs.

If you have one and need top-notch service or know someone who has one and needs help give us a call.

Thank you.

With a Saab the ignition key is not on the dashboard or behind the steering wheel (steering column).

The ignition key is between the two front seats.

The reason according to Frank Kemper as quoted on Quora:

When Saab introduced their first car with a shift stick on the middle console (the Saab 99, I think), they decided deliberately not to place the ignition switch at the steering column, but to place it between the seats. The reason for that: The sharp key at the steering column is a potential risk for your knee during an accident. 50 years ago, most cars did not have seatbelts and all the interior parts were not coverend with foam parts. So Saab eliminated one threat by removing the key from the column. In order to keep theft protection up, they installed a gearbox lock at the manual gearbox. You can only remove the key from the lock, when you have engaged reverse gear. And you can only shift to another gear when the key is in the lock.
