Facebook Launches Youth Portal For Teens To Share Ideas by Gizmomachine: 4:36pm On May 15, 2018
Facebook has launches a youth portal dedicated to young people so they can connect, share and find information. The portal aimed at empowering the youth as well as educating teenage users about using the social network safely. The portal currently available in 60 languages covering areas like general tips, insider tricks, privacy and safety information as well as everything else you need to have a great experience on Facebook.

The Youth Portal currently includes features like:

Education: A center of information on how to get the most out of Facebook’s Pages, Groups, Events, and Profile features, while maintaining safety. It also includes information about the types of Data Facebook collects and how the company uses it.
Peer Voices: First-person accounts from teens on how they are using technology.
Ways to control experience: A place to get tips on things such as security, reporting content, and how to set up what you share.
Advice: A place to get some guidelines about the internet.

Facebook says its exploring new ways to bring tips directly to teen users of the social media platform and also working with teens around the world to improve on the portal. The platform has also started putting tips in teens News Feeds on how to properly manage their social media accounts.

The company is also expanding their Safety Advisory Board with the inclusion of Project Rockit, an organization dedicated to fighting bullying in school communities. It is also seeking advice from policymakers, privacy experts, and other parties to give teens the tools and equipment they need.
