Khadijah Suleiman Saulawa also known as Queen Dijah is an undergraduate. While still in her twenties, she is already looking at what she can do for her society and not what the society can do for her. The founder of Queen Dijah Women and Children Awareness Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization, NGO, out to look at issues surrounding the well-being of children and women in the rural areas and beyond, is particular because they are the most vulnerable in the society.


Now let’s look at women into drugs, why and where lies the problem? These days, more women are into drug taking. And it was revealed that men are the major cause why women are into drug taking. Most women nowadays hardly get the attention of their husbands. Mingling with friends who are already deep into the intake of drugs, they are convinced that once they take it, all worries and troubles in their life will be a thing of the past. And so they are convinced to take and before you know it they become used to it so when their husbands are not around they don’t worry because they have what will keep them company. Many women started this way and gradually it become part of them. I feel it is something to worry about because if nothing is done, the society will be in a mess not because of anything but because the generations to come will be a generation of drug addicts. A situation where the mother consumes drugs, who controls the children from also going astray. So you can see that it is something that requires urgent attention and we have to start doing doing something about it now.

This I assume is taking place in the North. The elites in the North have no idea of the tsunami about to explode in the North. The abuse of drugs is higher in the North than the educated South for so many reasons. With this increase also comes an increase in violence, insurgency and gruesome killings. These two are not isolated ie increase in drugs and insurgency, they are actually related. Isn't it surprising that despite the religious high handedness, the menace of drug abuse continues to rise. The North comes behind in every index that uphold rights, freedom, values and the security of lives.
Early Marriage, Marriage to many women, Non existing educational system, religious intolerance and compulsion, extremism and a host of other factors are sharpening the future of the Northern Nigeria. Very soon the South will not be able to cushion fallout and the consequences of this misnomer and would detach from Nigeria whether anyone likes it or not. Everything has a melting point before it explodes. The educated Sai Babas and Sai Baba himself will be swept away by the implosion about to happen in the North. For now they think Almajiris can be perpetually used for electoral business and fed with crumbs as compensation. Alas women too have started abusing drugs because noone man satisfy four women at the same time in the name of marriage. Even poor men marry more women despite the Koran instructing people who don't have the capacity and ability to love and care for many wives shouldn't marry more wives. Implications is that the wives are unsatisfied and unhappy, they give birth to children they are not psychological balanced and biologically matured to raise, the children who in a bid to survive take to streets for survival and their minds are shaped by the urchins who are products of the same cycle, they are manipulated by wicked and selfish politicians through misinformation about religion and deluded with false sense of superiority of religion, power and ethnic supremacy. They are supplied drugs, yes politicians supply drugs to Almajiris, touts and area boys. The love for drugs didn't just materialized, politicians fuel it. The false euphoria drugs give is 15times higher and more satisfying than sex. This is where addiction starts and gradually becomes an epidemic issue. The Northern youths should stand up now and face their politicians - cult followership cannot solve this issues. Please this is not an APC or PDP thing. It is the reality at hand and the implication is that this is the North our children will also live in in the nearest future. The earlier we start the better.
