#1 Victoria Fall

Victoria Fall is among the most beautiful places in Africa. A trip to Victoria Fall is definitely a journey well spent as they are several amazing scenes out there. The water fall is located in Southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The Kololo tribe living in the area described Victoria Fall as “Mosi-oa-Tunya”. And it means “The Smoke That Thunders” is the largest water fall on earth. On the 16th of November 1855, David Livingstone became the first European to view the Victoria Fall. He was a Scottish missionary and explorer.

The Zambia side of the fall has natural pools of 1700 meters width and 108 meters dept. Tourists always enjoy taking a refreshing dip in the pool especially during hot weather. However, what most people don’t know about Victoria fall is the fact that it is surrounded by the Savannah. The Savannah is full of Rhinos, Lions and Hippos.

When you think of real beauty in Africa, Sidi Bou Said is definitely the name that comes to mind. Actually, Sidi Bou Said is a small village located north of Tunis – the capital of Tunisia. However, people that have been to this village has rated it among the most beautiful places in Africa.

Ordinarily, the entire village is located on a steep cliff that overlooks the Mediterranean sea. But the view is completely extraordinary and will keep you wondering through out your trip.

The beauty of the village is beyond imagination and it is a place you definitely needs to visit. As a matter of fact, the town has attracted several artists and they now reside there.

#3 Mount Kilimajaro

Mount Kilimajaro is located in Tanzania and it is the highest mountain in Africa. According to experts, Mount Kilimajaro’s summit is only for people who are physically fit. The peak of the mount Kilimajaro is 6000 meters and the view from the peak is awesome. For those who are not agoraphobic, they can actually para-glide from the top of the summit.

#4 Table Mountain

Table mountain is also among the most beautiful places in Africa. It is a popular and unique landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. Also, it is a tourist attraction location with series of visitors annually. You must have heard of the Table mountain national park right? The Table mountain is part of the park.

#5 Zanzibar

Zanzibar is a popular and amazing island in Africa. It is located in a place best described as tropical island off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. Zanzibar island came to limelight as a result of its historic stone town area as well as connection to the slaves trade in the 19th Century in Unguja Island.
