The Igbo apex sociocultural group, Ohaneze ndi Igbo has rescinded their stand on proscription of IPOB, a group agitating for self determination of the Biafran Nation.
The decision was taken during the South-East restructuring summit which held in Awka, Anambra state capital.
In the event which was graced by top politicians, prominent royal leaders, stake holders and well meaning Igbos, it was argued that since it is very difficult for the federal government of Nigeria to declared killer herdsmen terrorist groups, IPOB who has not killed anybody shouldn't be a terrorist group, thus the proscription was rescinded.
Deputy senator Ikekwere mmadu, Executive governor of Anambra state Chief Willie Obiano, Former central bank governor prof Soludo and many other top politicians from south east were present in the event.

This has been common sense all along. How can you declare an unarmed group like IPOB who did not kill anyone as a terrorist group but you leave the Herdsmen who kill people everyday?

Will this upturn the already gazetted proscription by the federal government? Why did u all gi to sleep and sacrifice your people to sworn enemies only to now engage in some exercise in futility?

Does Ohaneze control the police or security agencies that will continually arrest and victimise IPOB members?
