The 10 year old boy pictured below was beaten up mercilessly with an iron rod and wires by her stepmother in Ikorodu just because he drank a 20 naira pap meant for his stepsister. His head was severally hit with an iron rod too.

The constant beating which has been taking place regularly prompted his teacher to call a DPA member to come rescue the boy.He immediately visited the school and promptly got the father and his wife arrested and taken to the human right center where they were locked up!

The case has been settled as at Thursday the 24th as the father has signed to release the boy indefinitely to the mother who is seen with her son in the picture.The boy has since left for Kwara to join his mum

I still don't understand why some women feel very comfortable beating children for very stupid or silly reasons.
