Hello house i realy need some medical help/advice.I have been having catarrh and sneezing for quite a while now.Almost going on two years n.Okay its not as if every time i sneeze,. but evertime my environment gets colder, it start to affect me.Or when am close to dust i sneeze and also when i am close to food spices it triggers.Somebody help me because i have started thinking maybe its my lungs that is dysfunctional,but God forbid but i cant help bbut think that way because i have been on different medication all to no avail.Eg flucorday,actifed,procold and even on viamin C dose. I need your advice,it will pay me.

try see a doctor.most likely its symptoms of asthma.try avoid the triggering factors such as wat u mentioned.also avoid taking nsaids drugs such as aspirin,ibuprofen,diclofenac and others.if u go to see any doctor or pharmacist,tell dm u are allergic to nsaids-a group of analgesics.try take ventolin tab and broncholyte syrup.if it fails to go after some days,see ur doctor or call me 08089259600,

take lots of vitamin c, you dont need to see a doctor,just get a lot of vitamin c pills and take lots of it, you need to build your body defense to fight the catarrh and cold

Is your home free of cockroaches? Household dust consist of cockroaches shed skeletons which can trigger allergies in people.

Sorry about this, it could be very annoying and embarrassing. I was allergic to perfumes, dust, petrol fumes etc for a number of years.
I think the best thing to is to try and avoid those things that trigger the reaction for some time and then your body would gradually build its resistance.

You should wash your bed-sheet more frequently and use a small towel or clothe to cover your pillow before you sleep, and wash the clothe often, so as t get rid of pollens and dust mite that triggers the reactions. I used to sleep with a surgical mask, so as not to inhale dust overnight, because when i wake up especially when i was in the university and i wake up like 3 or 4am to read, i would sneeze for the nest 10 minutes and my nose would run for hours. it was so upsetting.

I have not had an attack for almost a year now and i have started using perfumes and sweeping again. So try and avoid the triggers for a length of time or even travel to an area where the air is less polluted, like a rural area for a week or two. Hopefully your body would stop reacting to all these irritants.

See an ENT specialist, you most likely have allergic rhinitis but you may also have some of its complications like polyps or sinusitis compounding your problem. The problem i have with self medication is that by the time symptoms get so severe and patients come to hospital the problem is 10x more difficult to handle. And the typical patient will now expect that the doctor would do a miracle and sort out a now 3,4 year old problem in one visit. As you have been advised, try and avoid anything that triggers the episodes. Allergies are managed not cured but can have very unpleasant complications if managed poorly.
