Senators and members of the House of Representatives are right now holding a joint executive session at the National Assembly .
The President of the Senate , Senator Bukola Saraki , and the Speaker of the House, Mr . Yakubu Dogara , are presiding over the session .
The agenda is unknown, but insiders say it may not be unconnected with the withdrawal of some Department of State Service security operatives attached to Saraki and Dogara .
The face - off between the Police and Saraki , who is the Chairman of the National Assembly, is also said to be a likely item on the agenda.
The meeting started at 12.43pm .
The Senate resumed plenary at 11am and immediately went into a closed session , which lasted till 12: 30 pm .
Senators , led by President of the Senate , Bukola Saraki, moved into the House of Representatives ’ chamber at 12: 36pm .
It was gathered that the lawmakers who had, in their respective chambers , lamented their alleged victimisation by security and anti - corruption agents, would reach a common resolution at the joint session .
