I read somewhere that I should boil it, so I boiled in hot water like 20mins. it's 2weeks now and it didn't germinate.

please break down how the parboiling is done.
how many minutes and how do I parboil it.

Ok.

Get more seeds
Boil water
Tie the seeds in a cloth
dip it in the water for 15 - 20 mins
Spread the seeds on a plate indoors and allow to cool
Plant immediately in soil that you mixed with pure chicken poo 2 weeks earlier.
Go back after 4 days and you should see your young ewedu plants grin

GOOD LUCK

eyaa, I've done already. I'll wait for it to germinate, then I'll repeat the process with pictures. Thanks a lot !

Abeg did the ewedu germinate with d method mentioned ?

I tried three methods
1.Dip in very hot water for 5mins
2.Dip in water that's manageable enough to put your hand in without getting burnt -5mins
3.Plant without boiling

2 and 3 germinated , 3 germinated the most. I came to the conclusion, you don't need to boil the seeds;but before you determine that ,try planting a little of it before mass planting, under normal circumstances ,it should germinate 3-4 days

Also tried the hot water method none germinated. Will try without boiling. Thanks

Same thing everyone says ,you forgot to give the temperature of the boiling water and the quantity.

Like I said earlier ,that boiling thing doesn't work.

Ever since I've been planting my ewedu seeds, I've never done the dormancy breaking (i.e dip the seeds in warm/hot water) and my ewedu seeds have been growing well just ensure you wet it frequently (morning and evening).

Goodluck.
