Topic: JESUS BELIEVES YOU WILL LIVE ABOVE SIN

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

God’s belief in humanity is just amazing. Look at one reason He gave Jesus - that we might be made His righteousness. This is not the same as the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17) or the nature of righteousness (Romans 5:19). To be made His righteousness means to be made the expression of God’s righteousness. Wow! That means while we were being ruled by sin, God believed that through Jesus, our sins will not only be wiped out, but we will live so right that our appearance will be an announcement of His righteousness to our world.

That means that with Jesus in your heart, you can live above smoking, drunkenness, fornication, bitterness etc. Beloved, give attention to God’s Word because the package He has for you in Christ, will make you totally free from sin to become a proof of His righteousness. Imagine that you can now live a life free of the guilt of any sin because you’re consistently doing right. Glory to God.

Prayer
Father, by giving attention to Your Word, I am built up to think right, talk right and act right always and so fulfil Your dream of being Your righteousness in Christ to my world in Jesus’ name.
