It's just a matter of pride. he didn't inform spain before signing for madrid and still didn't inform them after signing. they only got to know about it when madrid announced the deal.

Everything about the Julen-Madrid bromance was wrong. The Spanish FA chairman was elected last month, he gave Julen a new contract last month. This month Julen signed a new contract with Madrid and did not even have the decency to let the FA chairman know until 5 mins before the Madrid announcement.

Then the FA chairman out of pride is trying to make two wrongs. Just let him see the team through the WC, which is what Madrid wanted btw. Initial feelers was that he would be sacked after the WC, this sack before the tourney starts is all from the FA chief and his band of loyalists. The politics in Spanish football beats our national politics I swear. Very toxic.

Agree absolutely with you, Madrid were kinda desperate to land a coach before the world cup and made wrong moves with Julen.

Personally I think the guy lacks loyalty, if he had simple informed the FA when he accepted the offer that he'll leaving after the world cup all this drama might have been avoided, the FA probably feel betrayed having to learn about the sacking from other sources.

Aside from javier tebas,most fa members support teams in the second division(or third) or lower la liga teams
Spain was falling apart because of the rivalry in 2012 before del bosque and hierro(surprise surprise he's the new coach) called a meeting and told the players to settle
The rivalry runs deeper than u think
P.s hierro runs the national team ie he's the team manager and it was he who recommended lopetugui and delbosque

The Spanish FA needs to join CAF. We have too much in common for this not to happen

All the regions in spain have always been autonomous and still are, thats why all the regions have their unique languages and culture.
Philip V & Francisco Franco only tried to take away that autonomy and impose the language and culture of Castilla on the other regions (something which only lasted while they were in power)
