And so the 2018 Dusty Manuscript Contest has come to an end. It has been celebration mood since yesterday for the top 3 winners.

Coming first was Kukogho Iruesiri Samson, who happens to be an author, publisher, Poet and the CEO of Authorpedia. He came first with his entry manuscript titled, “The Devil’s Pawn,” and he went home with the prize of 1 million naira cash and a publishing contract with Farafina Publishers.

Talking about his manuscript, the winner of this contest, Kukogho Iruesiri Samson, said that he had written the first draft about 9 (nine) years ago.

The Dusty Manuscript Contest Judges’ had this to say about the ‘DEVIL’S PAWN,’ “The winning entry was a unanimous choice…The story is the best example of the possibilities inherent in genre fiction switching from crime to adventure, thriller to horror.
