7 LESSONS TO BE LEARNT FROM THE SUPER EAGLES LOSS.
1. MIKEL OBI : The eagles skipper can't be accommodated at the teams' expense. He's quite too lethargic to be trusted with the creative dynamics of the team.
2. ALEX IWOBI : Eagles wonder-kid has caught an unsung figure despite being fully fit for the tourney. This is fundamentally due to Gernot Rohr decision to play him out of his preferred position. He might after-all be the creative force we yearn for.
3. LEON BALOGUN : It has become laughable at the deplorable state of the Nigerian heart of defence. His partnership with fellow light-skinned Troost Ekong means the defence line struggles with every set piece thrown at them.
4. IGHALO ODION : He's far from the goal-poaching kind of striker the Eagles are known for. We need to give Iheanacho more opportunities.
5. OGHENEKARO ETEBO : He has surely done well in an unfamiliar defensive midfield role, but Etebo's qualities will rather be maximised if he is shunted back to his familiar role (Side midfield).
6. FRANCIS UZOHO : His choice as Eagles first choice goallie was defended by Gernot Rohr due to his superior height, but his reflex seem to be a suspect.
7. ABDULLAHI SHEHU : Just not attacking enough for a right back. We may need to look at Ebuehi's way now.

It's really depressing how easily #2,3,4,5 &7 can be fixed with formational and lineup changes. Especially against a weak Croatian side.
