Kaysalas:Yes Biafra government then hired some foreign mercenaries who asisted them but Britain and Egypt government openly backed and supported Nigeria against Biafra and even supplied them with weapons, trained special pilots for them because back then, Nigeria had no trained pilots. The few trained pilots then were from Biafra and they have all fled back to Eastern Nigeria so Britain supplied Nigeria with trained pilots. British air raids helped Nigeria gain ground against Biafra because Biafra didn't have air power which Britain supplied to Nigeria. Britain did Biafra bad 5 Likes 1 Share |

After visiting www.denel.co.za (the South African arms producing corporation turned company) I believed South Africa was the only hope for Africa becoming a superpower not knowing that Biafra (indigenous Africans) would have made us proud. Could you imagine what they ingeniously produced back then in the 60s 4 Likes 1 Share |

AnanseK: Where did you.get your statistic from Do you know how many Yorubas were born outside Yoruba land? especially in the north? Even in the South East they are living and working there (I saw them there and we spoke Yoruba together and we were happy to see each other) It's the same for aboki too You know how many aboki live outside abokiland? (note that you cannot call Abuja abokiland, they are gwaris) Lastly your assertion that NO Yoruba or Hausa have properties in the South East is not TRUE |

I'm talking about a blockade, A known well established blockade that was termed a genocide, An attempt to wipe out the igbos......And ur here talking about crude oil n Porthacourt. U think it was easy selling crude oil during a full blown war in 1968, Oga dress back. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Jerrypolo: Not only because they didnt get biafra but that the invention failed to change the course of war. They were better off without it. Reason America took out Iraq is because Saddam did not have nuclear. They are hesitant on attacking Iran or N.Korea. Weapons are meant to deter and where detterence failed to teach, demolition would. Thats what happened in Iroshima. Japan failed to be deterred by American weapons. They paid a price. That ogbunigwe never worked, its a dud! |

Indeed, in Biafra, Africa and the black man died!! Imagine how technologically advanced Biafra became within a very short while despite the combined forces of Britain, Russia and Egypt as well the rest of Nigeria that ganged up against Igbos yet we were able to hold them off for three years and even inflicted severe losses on them in the Battle fronts but just like the shameless cowards they are, they had to resort to blockade by telling the British to block the Bight of Biafra and dashing Cameroon the Bakassi peninsula as incentive for them to deny Biafra access to the world through their own end!! Millions of innocent Biafran kids died of starvation and we had to surrender. Now look at them today, from the north to the south and west, is just filled with misery, killings, poverty, hopelessness, destruction, backwardness etc. The worthless country has country has continued to retrogress indefinitely while the rest of the world including other African countries has now left them behind. The only story we keep hearing about the North is killings and destruction, Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and so many other terror groups that keep springing up on a daily basis!! The north is today the most fertile ground in the world where Islamic terrorist cells can recruit foot soldiers with so much ease!! Cursed and hopeless country!!! 4 Likes 1 Share |

justtoodark:Honestly, it's either you are a kid or adult with low IQ. Do you even understand what a blockade is? Let me inform you Incase you don't know, Britain used frigates and naval warships to block the Bight of Biafra while Nigeria gifted Cameroon with Bakassi peninsula to ensure that Biafra did not import anything at all, including food, arms, medical equipment etc and along with a no fly zone across Biafra, the blockade ensured that millions of kids died of starvation and lack of medical attention. Who told you that our food was coming from the north?? During that period, the East was self sufficient in food production. No region or country ever survived blockade, you can google about the WW11 and the siege on some Russian regions as well as the Yugoslavian war that led to mass starvation and deaths of the besieged people. Facts released by wiki leaks shows that Britain knew that Biafra would roundly defeat Nigeria if they failed to intervene. The defeat of Biafra by these combined evil forces was a triumph of bad over good, mediocrity over excellence, progress over backwardness, imperialism over Africa, Whites over Blacks (because the same way we have technologically advanced countries in Europe, America and Asia is just the same way we would have had technologically advanced countries in Africa today if Biafra had succeeded. Have a look at the faces of those men in the first page picture and see the determination in their faces as they carried those Biafran inventions, and to show how amazing it is, this was way back in 1960's!!! 4 Likes 1 Share |

BabaRamota1980:Shame no dey catch you? Do you know how many decades it took North Korea or Iran to develop nuclear weapons?? Yet you want Biafra, a country that was under severe attacks and aerial bombardment right from the moment it was declared to develop nuclear weapons within a few weeks?? Do you even know that it was sheer ingenuity and uncommon determination for Biafra to have developed such weapons of mass destruction at such a time?? Do you even know how the North was during that same period that you had to import virtually everything from arms down to mercenaries from Egypt to fly your bombers that were freely given to you by your colonial masters despite having significant numerical advantage of having the rest of the country fighting the Igbos?? 3 Likes 1 Share |
