Spanish giants, Real Madrid are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Chelsea goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois in the coming days.
Spanish outlet, Marca reports that the Los Blancos are already in advanced talks for the Belgium international.

The report claimed that a deal could reportedly be announced in the coming days, with the two clubs believed to have agreed a fee of around £31million.

Madrid have been linked with a new goalkeeper for a number of years now due to ongoing doubts over their first choice shot-stopper, Keylor Navas, with Courtois emerging as an alternative to long-term target, David de Gea.



Courtois is entering the final year of his contract at Chelsea and has so far offered no indication that he will extend his stay at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are, therefore, willing to cash in on the 26-year-old rather than lose him on a free transfer next summer.

Courtois, who won the Golden Gloves for his performances at this summer’s 2018 World Cup, has made no secret of his desire to return to Madrid at some point, having spent three years in the city with Atletico Madrid earlier in his career.

When asked by reporters about joining Real Madrid after Belgium’s 3-2 victory over Japan in the 2018 World Cup round of 16 encounters, Courtois replied: “I’m not going to talk about that now.

“The only thing I’ve always said is that after the World Cup, I look at everything.

“The only thing is that my children are the most important and I’ll make the decision that best suits me for everything.”
