Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio Gets New President.

The foremost socio-cultural organisation in Akwa Ibom State, the Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio, mmi, will on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, swear in her newly elected International Executive Council Members and also inaugurate her 10th International Executive Council, led by the 10th International President of the organisation, Obong Patrick Udofia.

Meanwhile, Obong Patrick Udofia is currently serving as the Acting International President of the body, following the untimely and unprecedented demise of the 9th International President of the mmi, late Akparawa Obong (Elder) Monday Etokakpan, JP, FCIL , the Obong Nkaiso Nsit Ibom, who answered the call to glory on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Officially, late Akparawa Elder (Obong) Etokakpan's tenure expires on July 24, 2018; hence, the change of leadership baton on that day; as the constitution of Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio rigidly stipulates.

Interestingly, the events will take place at the Event Centre, permanent International Secretariat and Headquarters of the global organisation, along Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, from 11 am. Consequently, the general public, friends of the organisation, as well as relations of the EXCO members to be sworn in, are invited to join mmi members from Chapters all over the world to celebrate with the organisation.

In addition, Mboho members will depart the venue, Udo Udoma Avenue's International Secretariat of the organisation, for a grand reception in honour of the incoming 10th International President, Akpatawa Obong Patrick Udofia, at his palace in Ikot Obio Inyang village, in Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
