I seek refuge in the Lord of Mankind, He who created death and life so as to test us as to who brings-forth the best of deeds. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving.

May the peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon our noble prophet, the best of mankind, Muhammad. So also, may it be upon his household and companions.

As the topic shows, I will be writing some aspects of the day of resurrection on this thread. The day in which all of us will be called upon to account for our deeds. I decide to write this so that it serves as a reminder to myself and to anyone that reads it; perhaps, we will increase our imaan and by extension strive towards doing more good deeds in this world before death comes to us.

Had if been if we die we will be left alone, death will have been a relaxation point for us. But the fact is when we die, we will be resurrected, and we will account for all our deeds.

Allah says,what can be translated as:

O People, if you should be in doubt about the Resurrection, then [consider that] indeed, We created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clinging clot, and then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed - that We may show you. And We settle in the wombs whom We will for a specified term, then We bring you out as a child, and then [We develop you] that you may reach your [time of] maturity. And among you is he who is taken in [early] death, and among you is he who is returned to the most decrepit [old] age so that he knows, after [once having] knowledge, nothing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it rain, it quivers and swells and grows [something] of every beautiful kind.

That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over all things competent

And [that they may know] that the Hour is coming - no doubt about it - and that Allah will resurrect those in the graves.. (22:5-7)

What is the day of resurrection?

The day of resurrection will be the day when all living-things that leaved in this world be brought back to life, in their original physical form. There will be a time on earth when everything that God created will cease to exist. Every human being, from the past to the present, will be resurrected and examined by their deeds. This day is called the “Day of Resurrection” which is the English translation of Yawmul Ba'ath.

The day of resurrection has many other names obtainable in the Qur'an and Hadith. Some of which are:

يوم الدين - Yawmud-Deen [Day of Judgment] (1:4)

يوم الآخر - Yawmul-Akhir [Last Day] (2:

يوم لا ريب فيه - Yawmul Laa Rayba Feeh [A Day about which there is no doubt] (3:9)

يوم عصيب - Yawun-'Aseeb [A Distressful Day] (11:77)

يوم مجموع - Yawmun-Majmoo' [A Day where mankind will be gathered together] (11:103)

يوم مشهود - Yawmun-Mashhood [A Day when all will be present] (11:103)

يوم لا بيع فيه ولا خلال - Yawmul-Laa Bay'un Feehi wa Laa Khilaal [A Day on which there will be no mutual bargaining nor befriending] (14:31)

يوم الوقت المعلوم - Yawmul-Waqtil-Ma'loom [Day of The Time Appointed] (15:38)

يوم الحسرة - Yawmul-Hasrah [Day of Distress] (19:39)

يوم عقيم - Yawmun-'Aqeem [Day of Disaster] (22:55)

يوم لا مرد له - Yawmun-Laa Maraddalah [A Day which none can avert it] (30:43)
