Killer Herdsmen:-Armed group that has killed thousands of people, sacked several communities, raped many women and destroyed billions in Agric produce. Not proscribed in Nigeria but rated one of the most dangerous organisations in the world by the terrorism index

IPOB:-An unarmed organisation that has never killed anybody and very few incidents of violence. Proscribed in Nigeria but seen by the international community, such as America and the EU as not a terrorist group

In 2017, the coalition of Arewa youths urged the government to declare IPOB a terrorist group.

On the 17th of September, the centre for social justice, equity and transparency (CESJET) held a press conference where the urged the government to invoke the anti-terrorism law and proscribe IPOB

On the 15th of September 2017, the Nigerian Army pronounced IPOB a "militant terrorist organisation"

The main reason that these groups wanted IPOB proscribed was because of the use of hate speech, intimidation and threat to the Nigerian state by IPOB.

Fast-foward to 2018 and the killer Herdsmen have slaughtered hundreds if not thousands of people this year alone. They have killed several police and Army personell, destroyed several communities and driven many into IDP camps.

The question then is, why were these organisations very vocal in urging the government to procribe IPOB but have remained mute to killer Herdsmen atrocity? IPOB didn't even do 1% of what the Herdsmen have done.

Imagine that those two leave Nigeria, we will just be much better, there will be appreciable increase in allocations to different States, there will be no piracy of other people's products, their will be less robbery and scam and ultimately the country will be safe to inhabit.
