Honourable Dino Melaye took the beating of his life today as more than 15 members of the House of Representatives man-handled him on the floor of the House of Representatives. While admitting the skirmish, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Chairman, House Committee on Information, said ‘minimum force was used on erring member of the house’.
Honourable Dino is the spokeperson for a group of House of Representatives member called ‘the Progressive’ which has been at the loggerhead with the leadership of the House on issue bothering on corruption, arbitrary award of contract and abuse of office. 
The skirmish that gripped the house was as a result of a motion moved by Honourable Chile Igbauwa (PDP Benue) asking the House to suspend 10 (ten) of the members indefinitely. Those suspended are Hon. Dino Melaye, Hon West Idahosa, Hon. Independence Ogunewe, Hon. Solomon Awhinawi, Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, Hon. Abba Adamu, Hon. Gbenga Oduwaiye, Hon. Kayode Amusan, Hon. Gbenga Onigbogi, Hon. Bitrus Kaze, Hon. Doris Uboh.
