So many. I can own as many houses as i can without being taxed. I can park my car anywhere without paying a parking fee. I can hire Police to escort me or my family members or even my pets and blow siren without any form of restriction. I can host a party and play music loud without my neighbours calling the police to charge me for noise pollution. I can marry a 13year old from any country if i have the money. (lol) I can be Governor without contesting election. If i continue, you will know that in Nigeria, everything is free but not for everyone. |

As a governor in Nigeria you can loot your state treasury while having a case with EFCC you can still contest and an election and win. To be a renowned elder state man you must loot more than your predecessors. I like Naira despite all this looting over the years Naira no dey finish. |

Though it's unbelievable, but personally i still think the best thing about living in Nigeria is that Nigerians are happy people!! The lawlessness is something nice too you know? You can imagine having a brawl with someone and you threaten to go report at the nearest police station;the dude you quarreling with brings out his phone and calls the D.P.O's personal line and brags before you that "OK, ehn ehn, alright,we'll meet at the beer parlor tonight, yes,i know i owe you 2 bottles, no wahala, ". And this is no joke o! Naija till i die!!! |

You can be middle class (or even below middle class) and still can afford the services of a. . . housekeeper/house-girl/maid/cook gatekeeper/gate-man/security guard personal driver also. . . you can relax and drink outdoors and any damn place you wanna you can get pissy drunk and it still wont be illegal to drive |

Re: What Would You Say Is The Best Thing About Living In Nigeria by kaysquare(f): 2:31pm On Jul 07, 2010 |
Wow,this is outrageous!we are asked to say the best thing abt living in Naija, bt 85% of these post replies are saying illegal things!Does dat means no stringent rules are enacted in Nigeria? Well, since it is d majority dat normally carry d vote,i wil increase it to 90% by saying "In Nigeria u can owe a lot of debt n decide to pay at your convenience or not to pay at all and nobody wil arrest u!'' |

Well, I would say it's the natural pristine beauty, and the warmth of the people. When you go around the world, around Africa even, then you'll appreciate us a lot more. Despite what people say about us, I believe we're good smart people, and want to learn how to be better. We are not doing as well as we could right now, but we can be a whole lot better. Even all the people abroad that write and say all manner of stuff about Naija, they all love the country and want it to be better. A friend of mine in England once said to me 'well, I'm not Nigerian, I'm British!' I laughed and asked him why we just finished a meal of eba and ogbono, and not roast beef and yorkshire. And why he's married to an authentic Naija gal, and not an Oyinbo. |
