Nobody is bashing anyone. A question was asked that deserves some honest answers not least from the make-up wearers themselves.
As for the bolded that is just nonsense. Make-up is not for everyone and more to the point of this thread many Nigerian women do not know how to wear it.

I have a theory that widely available indecency, increase in the openness in promiscuity of our culture etc, mean women are becoming more desperate for attention, this is a global problem though, you should see how other women are dressing and putting on makeup. Everyone wants to be considered attractive and be attention grabbing these days, I can see why many women result to plastering their faces with all sorts of colours, and dressing 'vibrantly'.

this is so not true! abeg check out cameroon and cotonu girls, and especially europe and american women. We cant even afford much of a cosmectic surgery. naija girls are the most natural ppl.

Actually it  is a NIGERIAN/WEST AFRICAN thing especially for  those of them that live in West Africa. I don't buy this idea that the average Western or Asian girl has this problem.

Certainly other girls, in general , DO NOT prodigously  apply things like lipstick  and eyeliner to their faces.
